The Seat of the Soul (1989), Gary Zukav’s first book about spirituality, describes how humans in the late 20th century began evolving into more intuitive, soulful beings. Truly evolved people attune their faculties so they can perceive phenomena beyond the material world - that is, beyond what they see, hear, smell, touch, and feel.... (Disclaimer: This is NOT the original book. If you’re looking for the original book, it is available from Amazon and Audible.)

About setting intentions in 7 areas of your life.
that we are powerful beyond measure.
that we navigate this earth by other means other than those explained through biology or physics.

It's a first but avant-gardist for its time 1989.

Lessons abound and I feel inspired to read the original.

Are you struggling to gain your independence? Are past traumas keeping you from evolving into the person you long to be? The truth is that human nature encourages us to seek out others. This has proven to be one of mankind's greatest triumphs, but when we start to rely on people to fix our problems for us, we start to fall into a codependent connection and stop mastering ourselves. Even if you have struggled for years to let go of something or someone you can start to move forward today. You can become a better you.

This book has been a Life-line in a wilderness of hurt & dispair.

Leaving someone you love and trying to heal from the relationship, without understanding the emotional guilt and sadness you carry within, over it all, can go on for months, even years.

I was fortunate to be emotionally enlightened as to the pattern & reasons why I was struggling to heal. Fortunate to be shown the path forward, and to finally understand how to get emotionally unstuck.

I am a recovering codependent, except now, I am internally aware of my pattern, and now, I can partner better without being afraid to love & express my needs within a relationship . In addition, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel of loss, guilt and shame.

I will progressively move on to the next phase by practicing release.

This book has been a life-line... and I recommend it

I would equally recommend the book: "Codependent no more"

my 2 cents...

Never found a process or system that works to unify and harmonise my countless to-do lists and priority tasks & goals at home and professionally and find alignment.

it made me quite poor at leading and daily execution, especially when it comes to planning long term projects and staying conscientiously on task, plus reviewing weekly and optimising on strategy in order to stay on track and get to my destination.

I would plan a whole schedule and get mentally fatigued with repeating the same thing, rethinking, getting a sense of progression, ability to instigate timely-execution, or just frustrated with misalignments. it was the same with organising my in-house at work. I was terrible at this.

I looked around and noticed a collegue was quick and had a system of handling this well. he pointed me to an obscure page showing the 5steps from GTD that he used for handling his email box.
I dug deeper and found there was actually a book and a conference / workshop in Amsterdam in June.

I got the Audiobook summary to peruse the content and get a sense of the key tenets of the system.
I will get the full Audiobook next, and will see if I can also get tickets to the event this year and attend a physical workshop in Amsterdam and gain access to the author and people struggling with getting their planning, performance and productivity life-pillars sorted.

Acquiring this one skill of organisation and timely execution will affect the way my life turns out and will help better combat procrastination and poor execution.

for me, gaining competence in this area would be worth its weight in gold!

Every once in a while, I read a book and hear myself thinking, this has updated my belief system, healed me, plus helped me correct previous errors in my judgement.

This one book has been a game changer.

I only wish I had it before my last relationship fell to tatters and I walked away from it. However, like the author said, this knowledge is something that one comes by through experience. suffice it to say, I now know and have the mindset to handle things better.

At least, I understand more deeply why I chose to leave that relationship even though it was to someone I loved very much (and the ensuing struggle with guilt over abandonment that ensued following the decision to leave) , and what part of the unhealthy situation within the relationship, that I was responsible for creating. I am grateful for this book for helping me to appreciate things from a higher perspective.

this book will go into my personal collection, I will share it with other men in my tribe of brothers. and I look forward to reading his other book on : "What women want in a man", whichbibhave already bought, and to taking action on the character strengthening activity the author champions therein.

if you are just finding this book and considering if the nuggets and content is any good, my advise would be to grab it with both virtual hands and get to reading. it is one of the best 3hrs I've invested this year. its up there right next to the wonderful book: " Letting Go - the pathway to surrender"

Daniel Kahneman's purpose in his book, Thinking Fast and Slow, is to bring within the grasp of everyday understanding the power of psychology, perception, illogical thinking, irrationality, and behavioral economics. Arguably Kahneman's most famous publication, the book summarizes research that he has conducted over decades and decades. Inside, Kahneman explains how we, as humans, often think and behave irrationally due to faulty intuition, biases, and erroneous mental shortcuts and how these patterns of thought can hold us back.

The analysis offered good insights into what the book proposes. I walked away with a desire to read the original book, which I immediately ordered half way through listening to the summary, as I was able to recognise the value of the insights provided.

I will look-out for more summaries and book analysis from SpeedReader summaries, as they did a good job on this title. I especially like the 10seconds recap at the chapter ends.
