It began in Ethiopia, hundreds of thousands of years ago, when a handful of genetic mutations caused evolution to split from the primates and mankind was born. Now, eons later, evidence of more splits from the apes is being unearthed. And with them, a disturbing realization. Ours was only one of many.

I love thE BREAKTHROUGH series of books! The story has everything - action, animals, aliens, attempts of war, attempts of peace, and my favorite....dolphins. The author has done his research, and the narrator really brings the story to life. Thanks guys!
Now, if Audible would just get these out faster so I can listen to them, I'd be a lot happier (hint, hint).

Fact: There's a real-life parasite that rewires mammal brains for extreme aggressive behavior. Over half of all the world's mammals are already infected, but aren't symptomatic because the parasite remains dormant in most hosts. Like a ticking bomb, this puppet master is patiently waiting for the right time to set off its hosts against the world. That time is now! There will be no peace or tranquility on Ted and TJ's transatlantic cruise as something is very wrong: animals have started to attack for no apparent reason.

In 1984 a doomsday vault was constructed on a remote island in the Arctic Ocean. Its purpose was to preserve Earth's genetic history in the event of a global catastrophe. Now, decades later, a second vault has been uncovered. This one resting where no one ever expected. And the problem is, it's not ours. Yet even more curious than the vault itself is what lies inside. Seeds. Millions of seeds. Each with a genetic embryo untouched and perfectly preserved. Waiting. No one knows who built it. Or when.

In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa. Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods. At least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won't ever be forced to present herself to them... Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world - a position that she definitely did not earn.

Too much sex, if there is such a thing! I wanted to listen to a story, not a man's thoughts of desire of a woman's body. There is a great storyline, but I felt it strayed way too much from the story, to sexual desires. It detracted from the book, for my personal reading.
