Evie worries her uncle will discover her darkest secret: a supernatural power that has only brought her trouble so far.

This is the best book in the series hands down. I loved getting to know all the characters and being introduced to the world they live in. January LaVoy really brings these characters to life. I love that everyone had a distinct voice, and she really made the story come to life.

I'd had already read this story when it as first released, but I'm so glad I came back to try the audio because it was so worth it. I'm diving into book 2 right now!

This is one of my all-time favorite series! I love the complexity between all the relationships and friendships between all the couples. So I was really excited when I saw an audiobook would be released for it.

Listening to the story just brought a whole nee level to the story and characters. Kenneth Obi brings so much emotion and depth to Indy and Noah.

Book 3 is my favorite of the series, so whenever that gets released, I will be the first one to buy it!

I find myself continuously coming back to Kenneth Obi's audiobooks. He really makes all the characters he's narrating come to life, and Geoffrey and Sven were no exception.

As for the story, I hadn't read the ebook before this, so it had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. This follows Geoffrey, who finds himself being followed by his own personal stalker. He enlists the help of a bodyguard named Sven to keep him safe.

This was the perfect combination of romance and suspense. The characters had so much chemistry between them, there was humor despite the suspense, I can't wait for the next books in the series!

I left my family and tiny Texas hometown 15 years ago to escape small-town gossips and to give my mom and sister the chance at a better life. But when a phone call from an attorney back home informs me that my sister passed away, leaving me custody of her newborn baby, I'm shocked out of the steady life I've built for myself running a tattoo shop in San Francisco. The thing is: I don't do babies. And I don't do small towns. Or commitment. And I especially don't do family.

What did you love best about Brent: A M/m BDSM Romance?

This is unlike any BDSM story I've ever read. It was so sweet, the characters were always upfront and honest with each other, which I loved!

What other book might you compare Brent: A M/m BDSM Romance to and why?

I would just compare this book to others in the series.

I love the characters so much! Brent and Calen had such an open and beautiful relationship. I can't wait for the rest of the series to be done added to Audible!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Gus is the ultimate grumpy hero!

Gus was so great to read about. He’s quiet, a little strange, and very snarky. He also has one of the kindest hearts, he is one of the most accepting characters I’ve ever read about. He loves his life (as boring as it might be) and his routine, but one day everything gets turned upside down when he meets Casey. Gus is what made this a five star read, I LOVED HIM SO MUCH. *cries*

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to it over a few days!

Any additional comments?

What first caught my attention about How To Be a Normal Person was that the love interest is asexual (this is so rare!). Casey is an asexual stoner hipster. When he moves to Gus’ hometown of Abby, Oregon, and starts working at his favorite coffee shop, he instantly knows that he and Gus will be best friends (though this idea horrifies Gus).

It did take some time for me to get used to the way Casey talked at first. Everything about him was so exaggerated when we first meet, but he compliments Gus in the best possible way! His outgoing personality and sense of humor is the perfect contrast to Gus’ introvert ways. Their romance was so cute to read about.

If you like any of the following things, you should give this a try:

-character driven stories
-snarky humor & characters
-slow burn romance (it’s all very cute!)
-well-developed main & secondary characters
-amazing dialogue & banter

The humor of this book was a lot more subtle than Klune’s other works (basically the opposite of The Lightning-Struck Heart). It’s low-key and well-timed and it’s impossible to read without smiling. All the characters are fantastic: Gus, Casey, the We Three Queens… There’s not really a lot happening in the ways of plot, the characters are what makes the story so interesting.

This book made my heart happy. It’s about self-acceptance and accepting others, it’s about love, family, and friends. Its most basic message is: it’s okay to be yourself, you’re exactly who you’re supposed to be. Ahh, this is just a beautiful book

If you could sum up Lovers Like Us in three words, what would they be?

Funny, delightful, engrossing.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how we saw so much of almost every character. Farrow and Moffy's relationship deepens so much here. And I liked how there was focus on characters besides them!

Have you listened to any of J.F. Harding and Alexander Cendese ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I listened to their performance from book 1! I still think they are the best narrators for these characters. I especially adore Farrow's narrator.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this over a few days time. It was hard to turn it off!

Any additional comments?

I am very much looking forward to book 3!

Garrett was at his breaking point. There were only so many times in a week you should have to see someone you were...attracted to...infatuated with...but certainly didn’t have a crush on. Doms didn’t have those. Especially on a customer who probably wasn’t even gay, much less a sub. Business 101 - do not flirt with a client. Wyatt was losing his mind. Hiding his obsession was getting harder and harder. All he wanted to do was kneel in front of Garrett and call him Master. But the sexy insurance agent never seemed to see him.
