My name is Charlie, and I'm invisible. Well, not literally, but until one of the most popular guys at Eden High saved my life, nobody even knew I existed. Sean Reese gave me more than my life back that night. He gave me friendship. And maybe, just maybe, I can save him, too. Will he still be my friend when he finds out my secret?

A beautifully written story was brought to life and I couldn't be happier. I have read Becoming Charlie several times. It's actually become a favorite of mine, which says a lot seeing as how I tend to stay away from YA. I read the book so often that when I heard it was finally available on audio I had high hopes for it, as well as loads of apprehension. Will it be good enough? Will the narrator do the story justice?

Halfway through the first chapter, I realized how phenomenal it had turned out. Once I started listening, I could not put it down. The talented Melissa Moran did a fantastic job in interpreting the angst that drives Charlie. I can't imagine anyone having done a better job with this one.

First, let me say that I absolutely loved that the characters were older than your average romance characters. It was a great change of pace reading about characters my own age. That being said, it was a great story. At times it was light and you almost want to chuckle, especially at Reaper's reaction to finally meeting his match. However, Langlais had me on the edge of my seat with all the action and who could possibly be doing it all. I know, a little vague, but I don't want to give away the plot line. Who would have thought you could ave a story that was both light-hearted and suspenseful at the sae time. The narrator did a wonderful job in interpreting the characters. There were a few times though when it came across as a bit forced. Overall, a wonderful story that I am delighted to say I would listen to again.

There are three things you need to know about Elizabeth Bennett: She's smart as a whip, always in control, and lives by a set of carefully crafted rules. She's learned the hard way that people you love the most always hurt you in the end. But then she meets Declan Blay, the new neighbor at her apartment complex. A tattooed British street fighter, he's the campus bad boy she's supposed to avoid, but when he saves her from a frat party gone bad, all her rules about sex and love fly out the window.

It seemed like a good idea at the time. Look up Landon Roderick, that boy from childhood whom I'd never been able to forget - even though he so easily forgot about me - and call him. Then again, anything sounds like a good idea when you've had a little too much wine before bed, right? It was supposed to be just a quick, meaningless prank call. Instead I went off on him - unloading 13 years of pent-up emotions. I didn't think he'd call me back.

Another great book by Penelope Ward. I posted on social media about laughing so hard while reading a book that people gave me strange looks like I was an escapee from a nut house. THIS was the book. I went back and forth between the book and the audio version while I was running errands and later cooking dinner. I found myself bursting into laughter while walking down the isles at the supermarket... chuckling while driving, etc. And let me tell you, you get lots of strange looks when you burst into laughter for no apparent reason. This book was equal parts hilarious and heartwrenching and a book I'm not likely to forget anytime soon.

Although the story and the characters are the same, Meghan Kelley gives the story an added dimension to it. She gives each character a voice of their own that adds another layer of enjoyment to an already favorite story.

Eight weeks ago I signed a contract. It seemed like a good idea at the time: a handsome bachelor, luxury accommodations, and a chance to win a prize my family desperately needed. There were some rules, though - lots of them actually. I had to follow the script and avoid dating, sex, or disclosing the terms of the deal. After my self-imposed moratorium on men last year, it wouldn't be hard to live up to my end of the bargain...or so I thought.

I wasn't sure about this because of some of the reviews I read. However, it seemed like an interesting concept so I figured why not. I am so glad I got it! The heroine is actually likeable. She has a reason for everything she does and you can actually feel for her and her situation. Often when there's a love triangle we, as readers, have a tendency of having a favorite. One hero is maybe not as perfect as he pretends to be and he deserve to not get the girl. In this case, both men are so perfect and so swoon-worthy that I couldn't imagine myself having to choose one over the other. That's my kind of story! I found myself listening to it in the car, on my pc while working on other stuff, on my phone while shopping... I just could not get get enough of the story and the characters. Start to finish, I loved this book and after seeing whose story is next I'm already adding it to my tbr

Running all their daylight errands - from letting in the plumber to picking up some chilled O neg - gives her a look at the not-so-glamorous side of vampire life. Her rules are strict; relationships with vamps are strictly business, not friendship - and certainly not anything else. If you could sum up The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires in three words, what would they be?

Hilariously funny and quirky

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires?

I loved the characters. She wasn't afraid of him so much as weary at having a man she didn't know anything about in her house. That however did not stop her from throwing a few jabs at him whenever she could, putting him in his place, and even threatening him more than once. And isntead of being angry, he was amused and his admiration for her rose each time

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I had not listened to Amanda Ronconi's other performances prior to this one. However, having read the book before, I believe she hit the character's quirky sense of humor dead on. (no pun intended)

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES! I found myself listening to it in the car as I was driving, in the kitchen while I was cooking dinner, in the office as I was trying to get work done, basically everywhere. Because of the length and the fact that eventually I had to sleep it took me 2 days to listen to the entire thing, but it was so worth it.

Any additional comments?

Molly Haper has become my go to author for audio books.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The match of Troy Duran's narration and K.S. Haigwood's book is genius. Rhyan's comments and inner voice did it for me. Even in hell his sense of humor shone through with snarky comments and sarcasm.

What did you like best about this story?

I absolutely loved the story line and characters

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
