Abby was young, only a junior in high school. Her entire life waited before her, with big plans to go to college. Her parents were strict, stricter than most parents, and sex before marriage was not tolerated in her church. Jimmy was a high school senior with a basketball scholarship to an ivy-league college. When they meet at a party, one that Abby snuck out of the house to attend, their lives head down completely different paths when she ends up pregnant. Jimmy is determined to stand by Abby.

Narration - Kelly Mack, Conner Goff - Really Good.

This is a book with a lot of Spirituality, which I’m not normally into, but I gotta say, I loved this book.

Abby is on the brink of suicide and plans to take her infant daughter with her when she drives by a church and decides to call. The phone is answered by David, the pastor of the church.

This story is told through a phone conversation between Abby and David as he carefully questions her and finds out her entire story, while a group of parishioners work in the background to try to help out this distressed young woman. Her story begins with her unknowingly drinking some spiked punch at a party and allowing a boy to have his way with her.

Her parents are fanatically religious, belonging to an extremist church, and in their attempt to raise God fearing children the rod is not spared.

She’s locked in a closet, called a fornicator, whipped with a belt, back-handed regularly by her mother. Truly, her parents are the worst kind of evil.

Her boyfriend and their relationship is a little too perfect to be believed. But her parents are such a hot mess, I suppose there didn’t need to be added drama in the boyfriend part of the story.

Really enjoyable book that I honestly could not put down, with characters I wanted to punch, and others I wanted to hug. And be prepared for some twists and turns along the way.

In the era of pay phones, groupies, and party pills, there were three of us. Strat. A rock god who walked on air. Indy. A handsome musician smart enough to live through stardom. Me, a girl with everything to lose and nothing she wanted to keep. I loved them both. They say three's a crowd, but maybe I liked crowds, until the one thing I wanted to keep was stolen out of my arms. I left that world, straightened up, went to law school. I was fine until Indy walked back into my life to remind me of what I'd lost.

Audiobook - Narration, Elena Wolfe, Terrific! Love her Males and she's simply the perfect Margie. Love her story telling, inflections, the personality she gives each character - terrific audiobook!

So...this story... Freaking Awesome! Now, if you've never read the Songs of Submission series by CD Reiss, you'll enjoy this story, BUT, if you have? You'll be Blown. A. Way. I've never read a book where I started screaming "Oh My Gosh! Oh My Gosh! Oh My Gosh!" Just too much CD! TOO MUCH!

So, my suggestion is to read The Songs of Submission series first. Start with Beg... You'll be hooked. Read them all! Fall into this crazy Drazen World and all of its delicious characters - seriously! It will be worth it. And read the Drazen World Novellas - because those were terrific too!

Oh, and by the way, in this audiobook, it actually has "Beg" at the end, so of course, even though I read the series initially, I'm starting all over in audiobook and listening to the whole thing again! And it will be worth every minute spent!

Am I fan-girdling enough? Can't help it! One of my all-time favorite series, by an all-time favorite author!

Audiobook - Narration, Matt Haynes, Really good! He has an awesome voice and his characters - both male and female - are terrific! Really enjoyable listen.

Love the start of this book! Hunky Navy SEAL Gage Jackelson lost the draw and ended up having to do the recon for their mission. But, when he walks in, he's mistaken for a model and we find him starting a photo shoot, getting poofed with make-up, his shirt off, waiting for the photographer to arrive.

Turns out to be a perfect cover for his investigation when the photographer is a sexy woman! She works her magic to get him to relax for the shoot and they drop into easy conversation as he casually mentions key events and peoples names to gauge her reaction and she finds him sexy and interesting.

This is a bit of a mystery with some action (both in and out of the bedroom) great chemistry between the two MC's and a terrific audiobook! Really enjoyed, definitely would continue with this series!

When aunt Margaret's car goes missing from in front of cupcake parlor and Abby's older brother comments about a mysterious barn on the property where Abby's class happens to be going on a field trip, she just can't resist investigating!

This is sort of a prequel of sorts for the Abby Douglas Mystery Series giving a little background on the young Abby and how she got her start as a Jr. Sleuth!

Narration, Olga Wilhelmine - really good. Maybe a little fast now and again, but she has a lovely voice and good timing and character interpretation!

Loved this story! It's a sweet tale of Zane and Alexa, who are both great people but have been dealt a lot of crap in their lives. Zane picks up a sobbing Alexa, whose been stranded over 3 hrs on the side of the road, and gives her a ride into town. He (a little high handedly) gets her to wait tables for him in his bar and the banter and fun begins.

If I had one complaint about this book, it's that I wish it were longer! These were such likable characters with an entertaining cast of secondary characters that I just feel like I want to hang around with them a little more.

Nicely done, enjoyable listen!

First used as a term in the late 1960s, BDSM has become prevalent in daily pop culture. It's no wonder that curiosity for the lifestyle is present. It's tantalizing, it's bold, it's passionate, but it's also real. And with that reality comes the details that the movies leave out. It's important to educate yourself on the lifestyle before engaging with the path and finding your first sexual partner. Or maybe you just want to know if spanking is for you.

Narration, Kathryn LaPlante, ok
Not entirely sure this book is titled appropriately. It's more of a beginner course into what BDSM is, not necessarily how to get into it - although there are a couple small sections that do cover some of the ways to find others in the lifestyle. It's very basic and lists a great many of the ways and tools that a couple may play with, giving explanations and safety measures on some and nothing more than listing others.

Pretty broad topic to be covered in such a short little piece. I think if you were completely new to the lifestyle and wanted information, this may give you just enough information to be dangerous. If you have an awareness, it really won't necessarily add anything to your information bank.

It was ok

Narration, Suzanne Barbetta, really good. Good storyteller, good characterizations, really nice listen.

This is my first book in this series and I really enjoyed it. My only complaint is that it's 2:56 and I would not have complained if there was more!

Gray and Robbie began 'the pack' with a silly pledge to each other as children after stumbling upon each other in a muddy ditch. Both children with unloving and abusive parents, they forge a friendship that is forever and they are devoted to each other.

When Robbie makes a bad choice and ends up in a horrific accident, Gray stays by her side, making huge personal sacrifices to nurse her back to health. These are two really likable characters and this is a terrific friends to lovers tale of two young people fighting their mutual attractions while fighting a bigger battle towards Robbie's recovery.

I thought this was a sweetly romantic story and as I said before, my only complaint is that it isn't longer. Really enjoyed the characters and just wanted more time in their world. Definitely could re-listen to this one and would definitely listen to others in the series!

Narration, Randi Larson - superb! Loved every minute of it.

This story - first I will tell you that this is a very spiritual book. Filled with references to God, the bible, kids going to bible study, kids doing good things, kids being hateful, gossipy and mean - and kids doing the right things.

Spiritual books are not normally my thing, BUT, this was a really good book. The pages were filled with love and kindness and kind of unbelievably good teenagers. I'm sure there are a lot of these good kids out there, just haven't personally interacted with them all that much. There were also your more typical snarky, mean teens who made fun of the kids who believed in God and went to church.

One of these mean gals is Chelsea - queen bee of the mean girls, but she has a fight with her second in command, ends up in a battle with her old group and comforted by Amber. So this is about some discovery for this girl who was shallow and hateful and learns a better way in life with the help of some good friends and a local pastor. Amber is like the super teen of super teens. She's just the way you want your kids to be. Kind, caring, smart, hardworking, even tempered, loyal and overall a great kid and example for others. (Yeah, a little paranormal here)

So - a lot of stuff happens in this book and I just can't tell you or it will ruin it. But there was a plot twist that had me pulling out the Kleenex and here came the ugly cry! I spent some major time being really mad at the author. Not her fault. She wrote an emotional twist with some really valuable lessons that had to be learned the hard way. I get that. It just tore my heart out. So, while these wonderful teens seemed kind of alien to me, it was not a paranormal book. It was a terrific Christian, teen, clean romance and I really enjoyed it!

Narration, Griffin Murphy - ok all I will say about the narration is I'm glad the Audible app has 0.75X speed. He narrates REALLY fast. I switched it back to 0.75 and while at first it made him sound a tiny bit drugged, I got used to it very quickly. It then became a much more enjoyable pace to listen to. May be just my opinion, but I like to experience my books and not strain to catch all the details.

The story is good, the characters are very likable. Cole is sexy on a stick and Madeline is spunky and fun. There really is a lot of bad guys in this. A smarmy icky drug Lord family with the son being the ultimate smarm!

There are also actually two stories in this book. The second half having all the same characters but adding an antagonistic relationship between Shay and Mason. I enjoyed them too, but would have enjoyed a little more time with those two once they finally got together.

Most of the danger stems from the poor choices of Madeline's brother and he brings all the danger straight to Madeline and all of her friends. Book two continues with Shay, a public defender and her cases intertwine with the same evil that came at Madeline and Cole.

Overall, an enjoyable listen (at 0.75X speed)

Narration, Kelli Shane, really good.

Really good book here! Kira Moore is 16 and what is known as a zero. The world has evolved into a society of mind readers. But 16 is getting late and Kira has not developed into a reader. She's an outcast - zeroes can't be trusted, because you can't read their thoughts. But one day Kira stumbles into Simon and they touch. For readers, this is not encouraged, because it very quickly becomes intimate. But Kira's a zero so why is he looking at her like that!
Simon gets with Kira and explains to her that she's what's known as a jacker and so is he. They have a different ability...the ability to jack other's minds and make them think or see or do whatever they want. He's been jacking everyone to believe that they can read his thoughts - and think he's a reader just like them. He tells Kira that he'll help teach her how to manage her power and how to blend in with the rest of the school. But see, with this kind of power, you can see that it could be used to do some very bad things!
And there are some very bad jackers out there - and some of them even work for the government!

Really enjoyable book! Fast paced, smartly written, sweet angsty love story threading through, along with a lot of action. Completely enjoyed and will definitely continue this series!
