Mary B. Addison killed a baby. Allegedly. She didn't say much in that first interview with detectives, and the media filled in the only blanks that mattered: a white baby had died while under the care of a churchgoing black woman and her nine-year-old daughter. The public convicted Mary, and the jury made it official. But did she do it?

This has to be the most emotionally involved I've ever been in a book. I have to say this because ok is by far my favorite. There are no words to describe it. I was angry, confused, hurt, resentful, I grieved, and in the end I was happy and hopefully for Russ. No book has ever done that to me and so I have to say this is very well written and was a total surprise to me.

The narrator did an outstanding job. He really made you feel like you're in the story and living each moment. Just WOW!!

I can't imagine someone telling me how to think and to put all of my life in to one organization I admire her for taking a stand and wish her the absolute best.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.
