Would you try another book from Sarah Knight and/or Sarah Knight?

Not likely. I tear through a lot of motivational books on my way to and from work. This one was 75% jokes and anecdotes and only 25% substance.

Would you be willing to try another book from Sarah Knight? Why or why not?

Yes. Her vocal presentation was magnificent. No audio pops. Clear speaking voice. But it'd have to be a substantial improvement in content.

What about Sarah Knight’s performance did you like?

She's really perky. Like, she puts personality into her readings. I appreciate that.

What character would you cut from Get Your Sh*t Together?

N/A

Any additional comments?

I'd put this low, low on the list. I'm in full support of independent authors (You go Sarah!). This book though failed to deliver within the first quarter of the book. It fizzled, and so did I.

Bestselling author, speaker, and world-traveling success coach Jen Sincero cuts through the din of the self-help genre with her own verbal meat cleaver in You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life. In this refreshingly blunt how-to guide, Sincero serves up 27 bite-sized chapters full of hilariously inspiring stories, life-changing insights, easy exercises, and the occasional swear word.

Jen Sincero takes a very tongue in cheek, and enjoyable approach to finding your most badass version of yourself. All said and done though, despite it being a fun listen, it lacked a certain executable quality that I wanted to find. It doesn't quite fall into my mantra of audio books: if it wasn't worth listening to twice, it wasn't worth listening to once. Hope you enjoy if you do pick it up.

There's no doubt about it, breakups suck. But in the first few hours or days or weeks that follow, there's one important truth you need to recognize: Some things can't and shouldn't be fixed, especially that loser who dumped you or forced you to dump him.

It's a good book. Read it if you're fresh out of a breakup or nearly there. Guy or girl (I'm a guy) the advice is the same. And believe me, if you listen and abide by it, it will make the healing process fast and as pain free as it can be.

Chin up, kid.

Let me be clear. I currently have a girl that I'm already seeing. We are very happy together. But we're not exactly going out. This book has been incredible for me dissecting my situation, my thoughts, my feelings, my dating history, my interest in dating people, and even how I'm going to get my friends set up on good quality dates. If you're somebody who likes to learn the how as well as the why, this is a book about dating. And you should definitely read it. Start. Now.
