I'd really really rather not give negative comments but I hated the female narrator. She sounded like she was reading from a bad script. This is my second and last time with Tracy Marks. There were some ok moments listening to her voice, but mostly not for me.
I adore Aaron Shedlock which is why I used a credit but the female narrator was just not that great to me. I tried several of her chapters but had to skip when she was narrating and this is a short novella.
But Aaron is a favorite and I give him 4 stars off the record.
The story itself wasn't that bad.

I've hated Rachel Dawson since I was seven years old. My next-door neighbor and number-one sworn enemy - she's the reason why almost all of our childhood fights ended with me setting something of hers on fire. (Or, vice versa.) She snitched on me when I broke curfew. I snitched on her when she lied about having a boyfriend. We went back and forth like this throughout high school, both vowing to never talk to each other again when we went off to college. But that was until she showed up at my apartment during my senior year and asked me for a temporary place to stay.

This was a funny and well narrated enemies to lovers book. Joe Arden and Erin were hilarious and had their usual chemistry. I love these two. Thank you Whitney G. for keeping them together in this story.
It was written differently than some of the some of the usual enemies to lovers stories due to some really funny letter writing. These characters met as kids; hated/liked each other starting from age 7 through college but it was channeled as anger and hate and the story took us back to their younger years when they first met and how they got together again during their college years.
Funny the parents knew they really liked each other.
There are some sad moments but not enough to fret over....the story was pretty light and tame as to their sexual chemistry but lots of references. Joe has his usual potty mouth that keeps you smiling.
They really kept in touch via letters but over time you found they didn't really hate each other and actually Ethan really looked out for her but you don't really know that until later in the story.
Well done all around, lots of laughing out loud and a good story. When these two narrators and author get together it's a winner for me. 😂😂

Arrogant. Cocky. Prick. Those are the words I'd use to describe my older brother's dangerously handsome best friend. When he learned of my plan to kick off my white cotton briefs, ditching my good girl persona once and for all by losing my virginity to the first eligible bachelor I could find, he flipped out...said over his dead body. He says if anyone's going to do, it's going to be him. I hate that I'm even considering his offer. But I am...I sooo am.

It's still early in the new year but M. Never does it again. She is an awesome writer and I love her books. This is a really great story.
It starts with Kamdyn the High school star quarterback with lots of ego and young women fawning all over him. Teddy does ego and cockiness really well!!
He narrates his POV as a senior in HS and how he meets Laney. (I just love Teddy...swoon...lol)
The story takes us on their journey from High School, thru college and after their college graduation. And I really liked that about this story.
Then there's Laney arriving in the south from NY all sweet, sassy and confident who ends up tutoring Kam after he suffers a very serious injury impacting his football career.
Fast forward they're in college now. Kam is once again a super star but Laney breaks up with him due to some of her own insecurities and him constantly letting her down but she has some regrets. We also get Laney's POV during some of the college years.
Then there's after college where both narrate their POV, including Kam making it to the NFL and their love story continues.
I could go on but you really should listen to this story and how its characters were allowed to grow, love and find that trust and HEA.
And yes, there's mature sexual scenarios that make this story equally engaging, especially with Teddy narrating..wink..wink
Loved it. There's other obstacles and challenges Kam and Laney have to deal with and the supporting characters. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series; this one was very well narrated.

I put out fires for a living. I can take some heat. But Maisie drives me crazy. She’s smart-mouthed, sarcastic, and argumentative. This town’s too small for both of us. But she works for me. Unfortunately. It’s a big no-no for me to want her. She's brash and beautiful and tempts me beyond distraction. There are different kinds of fire, and this one will make her melt. There’s only one problem: this fire might be too hot for both of us.

I especially liked listening to Beck explore and learn how to love Maisie. And when he stepped up and helped her stand up to her greedy and dead beat father I loved him more.
There were some other great characters too.
Glad I found this series. Absolute great narration by Savannah and Christian.
I think I'll try another in the series as long as Savannah and Christian are narrating. They had great chemistry.

There's lots of 2nd chance books out there where the hero or heroine don't remember past loves and we listen to their journey in finding one another again.
What I liked about this one is that Andi Arndt narrated this story awesomely and there was some suspense added to the story along with the love story. It was slow at times but held my interest.
There was some originality but I think I've watched too many law and order reruns and figured out who the bad guy was early on. But I had to finish to hear the why and when.
I always enjoy Andi's narrations (she's the audible goddess) and KS wrote a pretty entertaining story.

sweet baby jesus where is book 2 to Transcend. This is one of the most interesting and compelling, complex and fascinating books I've listened to recently. And I have hundreds of books in my library. So glad I found this book.
As soon as I started listening I could not stop and was hooked. I did a marathon to finish book 1 and it was awesome.
Jewel E. Ann has got me on pins and needles for the conclusion. I never read the hard copy but might have to purchase book 2 to satisfy my immediate need for the series conclusion since it's not on audible yet.
Andi Arndt roped me into this book with her wonderful words, angst, sincerity, passion and all the feels.
I absolutely can't wait for the conclusion. I need it badly like a junkie needs their fix. So good thanks to Andi.
Not that Stephen Dexter isn't good, but Andi is just better at these emotional stories. She is by far the queen of audible to me. Pleeaasseee bring book 2 to audible. And soon!!!!
