Translating God serves as an inspirational guide book that puts God's great love back into prophetic ministry as a primary goal full of real life stories that articulate the culture of love behind God's heart for the prophetic. So much of the prophetic ministry is esoteric, but this book brings balance without taking away the desire to see the powerful nature of God displayed. On top of that, it's biblically based and is supported by scripture throughout each story.

In Translating God, Shawn will take you through the fact that the prophetic operates by love, just like faith does, because it requires faith or risk to share God’s heart with others. You’ll also learn that God is not only speaking to Christians, but rather to everyone, and Christians can help bring others into a closer relationship with God as we’re supposed to be His friends and understand His heart for humanity.

I’ve read the book and listened to the Audiobook, and will do the exercises form the workbook because we all need to practice sharing God’s heart with many others who are desperate to know that He’s speaking to them (which He has already done in many instances).

BTW, you’ll learn that this is a walk we must all take so we don’t reject the prophetic altogether because we will all make mistakes translating His heart at times, but that means we’re growing and there’s room for humility in the process of helping others know that He hears them and is speaking to them.

Love covers a multitude of sins. This will challenge your theology but you’ll end up finding it it’s all biblical after all.

I’ve seen Shawn minister and he does it with precision yet with humility and love because he wants to reveal to those present God’s heart and teach a whole generation how to go about doing the same.

Thank you Shawn for challenging us to walk in a closer friendship with the Lord.
