Suzana Thompson does an excellent job of capturing the coming of age emotions in Tomboy. Cam has always one of the guys but little does she know her twin brother's best friend, Jake, has more than friendly feelings for her. Sparks fly when she catches Jake in a compromising position in her room. As a tomboy, romance and all the trappings of being a girl have never appealed to Cam. Her parents' divorce and her absent father color her reaction to relationships but her mother is still hopeful for a lifelong love. While Jake has been waiting his entire life for Cam to be on the same page, the young man is what all mature book boyfriends should aspire to be: patient, romantic, possessive, loving, and passionate. While the road is sometimes rocky on the way to their relationship, Cam and Jake's story ends in a very satisfying way.
Ms. Thompson capture's Cam's tomboy traits well, I grew up as one so I could relate to her character, and being blindsided by a friend who has romantic feeling? She hit that shocker dead on, as well as the drama of the high school friends and the catty girls who try to break up couples. Ms. Thompson's characters are realistic, the situations real life and the story well paced. There are great family moments with the mom, great banter between the siblings, and with the couple. I'd definitely read more by this author.
Sarah Sampino does an excellent job bringing these characters to life. Her voice is smooth and when Jake was teasing Cam I could hear the smirk in her voice. I'll be watching for more books narrated by her.

I love finding new to me authors and Jenna Sutton became a new favorite with Barreled Over. Ms. Sutton's writing is polished and smooth and her storyline well-paced and engaging. The characters are wonderful and OMG the banter between Beck and his friends, Gabe and Ren, and Ava Grace with her friends is amazing. This book has the perfect balance of humor, emotion, heartbreak, passion, friendship, and love. Neither Beck or Ava Grace are prepared for what starts as a professional arrangement turns personal. Both of them have secrets that threaten to destroy what they each want but fear won't last. Beck has overcome his past to follow his passion of brewing bourbon. While Ava Grace is one of country music's headliners. One lives in the spotlight and the other hides from it because of his past. Even when they try to stay away from each other, the couple's banter is sensual and sexy. I did not want this book to end, and I am anxiously waiting for more in the Trinity Distilling series.
I listened to Ava Lucas' narration of this amazing book. Her voice transported me into the story, from Ava Grace's Nashville home to Beck's home in California. Her vocal variety added dimension and personal characteristics to each character and the sexy Southern dialect of the main characters made this such an enjoyable listen. I can't wait to listen to more books by this author and Ava Lucas in the future.

This is the first story I've read or listened to by this author. Being a bit of a history nerd, I found the author's use of period events and portrayal of a simpler time, the mid-1930s, a delight. The story is a genuine slice of life in a small town during that era. Frankie is a great character and while his life has not always been idyllic, he doesn't let it get him down. However, he does tend to wear his heart on his sleeve, especially when it comes to his best friends sister, Ruth Ann. While he come from a hard knocks beginning, she has always lived a life of privilege. Neither party is good at communication and while those missed connections cause them a great deal of heartache.
Once a famous barnstormer, Frankie now works at his friend's airfield which constantly seems to put him in Ruthie's path, sometimes with disastrous results. While she is at acting school she is wooed by another student, which again causes chaos and pain.
Ms. Lewis does a good job of showing the family dynamics of Ruthie's family and the pitfalls of parents laying their mistakes on their children. She does a great job of displaying the relationships of the friends that keep Frankie bolstered the tough times. While the story has romantic elements, for me it hits more of a women's fiction or family drama. However, listening to this book was a nice respite from all of the in your face romances that are out there. It is a genuinely good story with a satisfying HEA. I will add the narrator, Dawson McBride, has a voice as mellow as fine whiskey and pulls the listener into the story. I will look forward to reading/listening more work by this author and listening to more from this narrator.

I adore the entire Pucked series but I do think Randy might be my favorite guy. He has a lot of baggage from his past and he's probably had to work a bit harder than the other men to reach his HEA or maybe it's a HFN. I love how Ms. Hunting updates the reader on the others in this series with each book. The hockey players and their women are truly like their own dysfunctional family and I love it.
This book has a bit more emotion and angst it in than the previous ones. Randy's anxiety over the start of a new season and how that might impact his life with Lily makes him more vulnerable than usual. While Lily tries to reassure him he's not the man his father is, he can't see the difference. A hilarious weekend away with their friends and lots of sexy times is overshadowed by an unwanted visitor when they return home. Although this book is shorter than the others a lot of drama and humor is going on.
I read this along with the audiobook and I loved the dual narration. Jacob Morgan does an excellent job voicing Randy and his insecurities. Rose Dioro is delightful as all the side of Lily: strong for her man, insecure with what is going on with him, funny with their friends, and sexy in love with her man. I loved listening

WOW just WOW, while this is the first book I've read/listened to by Nicole Garcia it certainly will not be the last. Ryder Storm is PERFECT. He's the epitome of what a book boyfriend should be: protective, nurturing, loving, sexy as sin, and hella romantic AND he can cook! I love the combination of insta-love/slow burn, because while the couple is immediately attracted to one another they don't act in haste and then regret the decision.
Madison is a divorced woman with two young boys, one with demanding needs, and an ex-husband who is a cheating ass. Due to his constant criticism she feels less than worthy of anyone's attention, let alone the sexy package delivery man who saved the day at their first meeting. Ms. Garcia does an excellent job showing the harried life Madison leads, often relying on her best friend, Tyler, to help her out. Her son, Aiden is a scene stealer and bonds with Ryder in a special way.
Ryder is waylaid by the sudden onslaught of emotion he feels for Madison, after one deliver he is more than smitten. Having always been the short-term guy, he is unprepared for the feelings Madison and her boys evoke. I love that Ms. Garcia allowed her hero to show his emotions and the depth of his feelings to the reader, he might be an enigma the romantic alpha, lol. There is nothing sexier than the way Ryder interacts with Madison's boys--ovaries exploding. At heart this is a sexy family story of love and the perfect feel good holiday read.
I listened to this book and omg, I will tell you, it is impossible to put the sleep timer on and go to sleep with the sexy, deep timbre of Wen Ross's voice in your ear. His voice truly bring Ryder Storm to life and showcases the character's emotions. Kai Kennicott gives an amazing performance of the many facets of Madison's character: harried, fearful, seductive and passionate all come through loud and clear. I heartily recommend this book and the audiobook is amazing.

I adore this series. I think Alex might just be the perfect book boyfriend: alpha, possessive, giving, passionate, and romantic. While this book starts with what could be a life-altering incident, in typical Violet fashion she manages to only freak out in small increments and proves she has the stamina for life with Alex Water NHL star. Faced with planning a wedding, Violet's biggest obstacles aren't the venue or the planning it's her mother and future mother-in-law. In Helena Hunting fashion, she weaves humor, sex and romance into this story. I absolutely love the characters and their quirkiness and I'll be sad when it is eventually over, but for now I know I have a couple more books in the series. While I didn't see the end playing out as it did, I couldn't be happier with Alex and Violet's HEA.
I read and listened to this book. The dual narration was Jeremy York has one sexy voice and when he reads the romantic side of Alex, I swear I could melt. Emily C. Michaels really brings out Violet and her crazy, but can equally share Violet's softer side. I loved it. This will definitely be a relisten in the future.

What a delightfully naughty holiday read. I loved how this novella ended, leaving the author options to continue the liaison between Carina and Elijah on the other side of the pond. Poor Carina has had a really awful year, but as Christmas comes around, she realizes others are far worse off. Little does she know that her small act of kindness will change her life. Meeting Elijah brings out desires she didn't realize were hidden and opens her world to a new realm of sexual possibilities. The characters are likable and the sexual tension off the charts. I'm hoping this becomes a series in the future.
I listened to this beauty and it is definitely NSFW. La Petite Mort brings Elijah's British accent to life and the timbre of his voice is more than seductive. Ruby Rivers does an excellent job giving life to Carina's character and her emotions.

I have really loved the Ace Security series and am sad to see it ending but Ms. Stoker has introduced the men of her Mountain Mercenaries series and I can't wait. I really enjoyed reading/listening to this book. When Ryder comes to town to meet his brothers, the Anderson triplets who run Ace Security, he finds an unexpected turn in his life. Recognizing the signs of a woman on the run, Ryder becomes Felicity's protector. Drawn together by their attraction Ryder takes on the man who has been tormenting the woman he loves loves for a decade. Felicity has seen what havoc her past can cause to those she loves, and wants to flee but Ryder won't let her. Together they navigate their way to a satisfying HEA for the reader and the epilogue ties up the series nicely while leading into the Mountain Mercenaries series. I enjoy this author's books and have never been disappointed and this one is no exception. The narration is superb, drawing the listener into the story and making them feel the emotions of the characters.

I read and listened to this book. I truly enjoyed Hawk's sense of humor and his sexy banter with Britta. He's her boss, and her brother's best friend, but she's been crushing on him since she was a teen, and apparently the striking woman she grew into wasn't lost on Hawk either. So enter the douchebag ex, who she caught with her best friend before their wedding. Hurt and betrayed Britta threw herself into work but Hawk was keeping an eye out for her.
This book has great characters, uber-alpha Hawk, sexy as sin Britta, the douchebag ex, her betraying best friend, and assorted brothers who would kill on Britta's behalf if need be. The writing is witty, quick-paced and fun. However, not all is love and fake engagements. There are a couple of twists at the end that make the reader think there may not be an HEA.
The audiobook is amazing, Biff Summers' voice is so smooth and sexy that you want to find him and let him read everything in your life to you. Felicity Hart does a great job bringing Britta to life, she's feisty and bubbly. I truly enjoyed this book and will seek out more by this author.
