Who could possibly throw over a woman as beautiful and vivacious as Roxana? Certainly not Alex Winslow, the Earl of Ayersley, who has spent years trying in vain to forget his unrequited love. When he learns she's been abandoned by her cad of a fiancé, he finds himself offering a shoulder for her to cry on. Comfort soon turns into a passionate kiss—and scandal when they are caught in an embrace.

I loved this book. The story wasn't groundbreakingly original, but it was a nice change from the norm in the sense that the male lead was actually a nice person, more archetypally similar to what we know as the second lead (nice, supports all the heroine's ideas, loves the heroine unconditionally even when she doesn't always deserve it,etc) That is what I think I loved most of this book, that at last, nice guys didn't come last.

My cock has an appetite. A huge and very particular appetite: blond, curvy, and preferably not a fucking liar... (Although that's a story for another day.) As a high-profile lawyer, I don't have time to waste on relationships, so I fulfill my needs by anonymously chatting and sleeping with women I meet online. My rules are simple: one dinner. One night. No repeats. This is only casual sex. Nothing more. Nothing less. At least it was until Alyssa...

Since this was included on my Romance Package this was free to me, and that is the nicest thing I can say about this book.
The narrators were wasted on this book (since they were actually good)
The characters were completely unrelatable and unlikable. Not worth a credit if you are thinking about it.

Célian Laurent. Manhattan royalty. Notorious playboy. Heir to a media empire...and my new boss. I could have impressed him, if not for last month's unforgettable one-night stand. I left it with more than orgasms and a pleasant memory - namely, his wallet. Now he's staring me down like I'm the dirt under his Italian loafers, and I'm supposed to take it. But the thing about being Judith "Jude" Humphry is I have nothing to lose. Brooklyn girl. Infamously quirky. Heir to a stack of medical bills and a tattered couch.

The plot in itself sounded cliche. But I was intrigued because of the twist of the protagonist robbing her one night stand. I wanted to know why. Turns out the answer was pretty cliche, as well as the rest of the story. One way to summarize this is by saying that it compares perfectly to a telenovela. It even has the same tropes: poor girl meets rich guy who pays all her debts and saves her from poverty, rich guy is engaged to rich girl who is a psycho who won't stop at anything to get what she wants, rich guy is traumatized due to a tragedy in his past and has a poor relationship with his parents, and finally, it has a freaking birth secret... a freaking birth secret....

It should have been easy. I needed the money. He needed a babysitter to keep him from snorting himself to death. I was cherry-picked especially for him. Responsible. Optimistic. Warm. Innocent. The worst part is that I should have known better. Alex Winslow. British rock star. Serial heartbreaker. Casanova with whiskey eyes. “Don’t get near the devil in a leather jacket. He’ll chew you up and spit you out.” Guess what? I didn’t listen. I signed the contract. World tour. Three months. Four Continents. 100 shows. My name is Indigo Bellamy, and I sold my soul to a tattooed god.

This book is not terrible. The main problem for me with it was due to two things:
1) Too many things in this book require an outstanding amount of suspension of disbelief. Too many coincidences are needed for the plot to actually work. And that couple with the already fantastical setting of the world of music and concerts, just doesn't pair up well. It took me out of the Story because my logical mind kept saying that it's possible for some of those things to happen but not all of those things combined. It was just too much.
2) The biggest issue was pacing. There are parts of the story that take freaking forever to happen and then the ending was super rushed. The ending was only like 3 chapters in which EVERYTHING happens. It didn't feel organic to me after how the rest of what happened took so long.

It wasn't a bad book, I just think it was not for me for the above reasons.

I've waited years for my drop-dead sexy boss, Tristan Hunter, to notice me as something other than his right-hand gal. But though his dog is deeply in love with me, Tristan and I seem doomed to the friend zone. Until the night we kiss... It's all a ruse, of course - our make-out session is for the benefit of the two heartbreakers who dumped us - but very real sparks fly when his lips meet mine. At least...they're real for me.

The story lacked that certain je ne sais quoi that makes a story exciting. It was too campy. And that epilogue, omg. I could have lived without that Epilogue. I guess the author was aiming for cute and endearing but I found it creepy.
