The impossible has been accomplished. The Lord Ruler - the man who claimed to be god incarnate and brutally ruled the world for a thousand years - has been vanquished. But Kelsier, the hero who masterminded that triumph, is dead too, and now the awesome task of building a new world has been left to his young protégé, Vin, the former street urchin who is now the most powerful Mistborn in the land, and to the idealistic young nobleman she loves.

Michael Kramer is amazing he made the book come alive like a movie and my head. His character voicing is talented and enjoyable separating each different character expertly.

I love the second book and can't wait to start the 3rd in the series. Brandon Sanderson is original and brilliant in his storytelling of this fictional world.

The concept of allomancy and all of the abilities of an allomancer creates a romantic fantasy world where the characters become real enough to get lost in. Love Vin and her frailty and strength combined.

Or is her mother faking her illness? The only thing she knows is that she can't trust anyone. Sophie must delve into a dark history to reveal her stalker. But there are some stories that should never be told.

The story was refreshingly new and was brilliantly read by Alison Larkin. The Voice differentiation for characters was amazing. The story itself kept me hooked and I couldn't wait to finish the very last bit. Living with an Alzheimer patient is difficult and the author took you straight there.
