A factual pleasure of a person and events filled with facts and personal observations both well stated and delivered in an excellent rhythmic style. A bit too much of the day-to-day military drudgery and trivial habits of soldiers. Patton did accept he had lived previous lives and many of his stories were proven to have been uncannily accurate.

I learned so much about history, social culture, and the human race from Sapiens. For instance, this following idea blew me away: gossip, not physical strength or military cunning, is what makes leaders and binds communities and nations. It seems we developed language just to talk about each other, not for trade or power or more.

This classic is focused on the nature of altruism and selfishness that creatures have. Despite that any living creature is focused on his well-being, the study reveals that they have a natural sense of altruism as well. Many creatures have a tendency of sacrificing themselves for their loved ones’ safety.
