The is the second book in the Against All Odds series. The book was a good read with the Story of Sam, Mason, Chase, Anna, and Amanda continuing. The story changes from a straight Post Apoc story to a cyber attack/ intrigue. It broadened the tale out a bit and I an not totally sure if the story benefited from the additional plot line or not.

I enjoyed being able to pick up where I left off from the first book and see the characters progress putting an end to the series.

Kevin Pierce did an amazing narration job!

The United States has experienced its share of turmoil over the years. Although not particularly as war-torn or stricken with genocide and violent crime as other nations, over time, gun violence and terror attacks have become commonplace on American soil. Never before has the United States been subjected to widespread coordinated terrorist attacks, devastating enough to bring the entire nation to its knees. Until now.

Wow! All I can say is Wow.
Political Intrigue coupled with Post Apocalyptic Chaos. I am so looking forward to the second book in this series.
Quinn and Natalia, two assassins changing the world for the better and a Prepper dad and his family struggling to live through the crisis with lots of teen drama included.

Two major story-lines crisscrossing back and forth really made this like getting two books in one. One Line Political intrigue, the other a family facing the Apocalypse and just as the story ends the two lines come together.

It was a very enjoyable listen, with Kevin Pierce doing another amazing job narrating!

This book is definitely a keeper!

This was a totally enjoyable listen. I was really glad to see that the Mad Mick got his own book. This is one of those stories that was just wonderful to lose yourself in for a few hours. Franklin Horton did a great job on bringing the Mad Mick's story to life. The characters had depth and were well developed and their personalities were engrossing, making be care about what happened to them.
Kevin Pierce as always did a fantastic job!

In Torrent, Abrahams plunges his characters into an unforgiving flood. College students on vacation, a family trapped and unable to swim, a journalist out of his depth, and a doctor prepared but overwhelmed all face the rising water. The beginnings of a conspiracy begin to surface, possibly connecting strangers and their roles in catastrophes they only vaguely recall.

A thoroughly enjoyable story. I enjoy seeing the characters evolve through each successive Apocalyptic challenge while getting to root for the survival of my favorites.

Tom does a great job of character development normally but this series of stories allows him to really flesh out the characters in a way that far exceeds what a typical author gets to do. The readers gain directly in this as each tale adds depth to each character giving us a more substantial and satisfying read.

I am really enjoying the flashback/flashforwards story line that weaves throughout each book adding an extra plot-line that broadens the tale even more. I can't wait to see where it ends up taking me.

Each of these tales is stand alone but I would recommend you get them all - they are that good!
And believe me when I say with Kevin Pierce as the narrator the stories are that much better!

I really enjoyed this story. The characters were believable and actually flawed - not just supermen and women. No one had a unlimited bag of prepper supplies nor did the ex-navy seal become a Super Hero. This was probably the most Normal PostApoc story I have ever read.

This is my second Jack Hunt read and while I did not like the first one, this one was Great!. Jack mixes humor throughout the story and his character development is very thorough. Before you know it you start relating to the characters and enjoying the tale.

Kevin Pierce did a fantastic job of narrating the story - he always adds value to the books he narrates!.

If you enjoy the Post Apocalyptic Genre, then this is a book to add to your collection!

The Last Storm was a well written story and I really got to enjoy the characters. They are well developed and not one-dimensional. I loved the Alaskan setting and the hometowniness added in. The Super Storm plot was interesting but when the author added in the repeated preaching about Global Warming it detracted from the story.

Kevin Pierce did an excellent job of Narrating the tale. Any story where he is a narrator will be a quality listen.

While I would not put this at the top of my list it was a good solid story with engaging characters.

Tom Abrahams has another winner with Pilgrimage and add-on story to Steven Konkoly's Perseid Collapse series.
Its a story about a family on vacation in Maine who experience the EMP and have to try and get home and all their experiences along the way. They also seemed to have the worst luck along with some of the best I enjoyed the story and the evolution that each character went through along the way.
I had a little problem with some of the daydreaming/space outs that some of the characters would indulge in at the worst possible moments - this kind of distracted me from the story.

Kevin Pierce chalks up another Excellent job of narration with Pilgrimage.

I would recommend buying this book - its an great story!

Starting this book I was not sure how this new take on writing would work out. After reading and enjoying ASH I was hoping that for another great Tom Abrahams's tale and I was not disappointed. There were a couple of fits and starts at the beginning while I was getting my sea legs putting the same ASH characters into new places/situations. Then everything fell into rhythm and the story took off.
There were a couple of points where I felt that the characters could have made smarter choices to deal with the fires, but over all the story was very well written and made me not want to put it down.
Kevin Pierce did an excellent job on the narration and it made for an excellent listen.
I heartily recommend this book as a great read and I look forward to the next story in the series!

This is another excellent Boyd Craven book! He is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. His characters are well developed. His plot lines are complex yet not overly jumbled. Every book has that "Don't want to put it down" quality.
Wesley Flagg, the protagonist is a moonshiner and a really likeable person. Before we ever get to the CME we get a really great story about his family business and how he progresses in making ends meet. I almost regretted the CME as I was really enjoying Wesley's story and wanted more. I only had one question. Is Raider from the same litter as Opus?

Kevin Pierce, the narrator did another excellent job voicing the characters and breathing life into the story.

Teenager Amanda Castle was like a lot of people, posting pictures of her everyday life to a variety of social media sites. Not everyone who viewed her pictures was there to share in her experiences. One was there to steal her profile pictures. A terrorist in Frankfurt was desperate to please his leadership. He planned the perfect attack, one in which vulnerable people would be invited through social media to participate in a flash mob. There, the unwitting participants, thinking they were taking part in a random act of kindness, would find themselves engaged in a random act of terror.

Typically I lean towards reading Post Apocalyptic stories as I enjoy the genre, but when I saw Franklin Horton had written a new book I was immediately interested.

Random Acts is a really great story with lots of plot twists and action. The character development is well done and you really start caring for them as you get further into the story. Tying Terrorists - Gamers - Social Media Addicts - and Parents together provided enough intriguing situations to keep me engrossed straight through till the end.

Kevin Pierce did an amazing job as the narrator. He sets the bar so high that other narrators can't even begin to keep up.
