It was difficult sometimes to understand who the protagonist was. She spoke with a sort of American accent part of the time, and thought in a British one. She used British words for things such as fringe Americans would call bangs. I can’t say I have ever listened to a book narrated like this one.

As someone who has spent time in 3 mental facilities I found her descriptions to be accurate. I found the narrative to be too choppy to understand. I have Bipolar II so I know what it’s like. If I wanted to hear a jumble of thoughts I would just listen to my head. I didn’t care for the musical interludes either. Sorry Amy, it’s nothing personal.

This book covered aspects of toxic friendships through various stages of a woman’s life. Even if you are no longer a little girl, teenager, 20-30’s, mom’s, middle aged or elderly you had to listen to how each problem impacted every group. It was so boring listening to the group that wasn’t yours. The author should have written a book for each group. I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone seeking advice about toxic friendships. Their are better books out there.

This book was so incredibly bleak. I only made it about 3/4 through and had to quit. There was just one tragedy after another with very little happiness. The Narrator was excellent though.

I come from a town so close to Celina, TN we used to play them in basketball in Middle School. I moved away when I was 19. This book takes me back to my family roots on my Dad’s side. I can’t argue with anything these men have to say. So much truth and lots of good solutions to problems in the south. It should be required reading for any southerner. A lot of my friends back home should listen to this book. I come from the class of 1980, and we have buried too many classmates for reasons stated in this book. I highly recommend it!

I gave the book 4 stars because of all the pain and sorrow this family went through. I have to say that I didn’t listen to all of it. It was just so redundant. I don’t think her sister realizes that not everyone wants to hear the minutia of their family life. I have seen documentaries on this case so I know the story. I hope the horrible man who killed Milly will have a horrendous life in jail until he dies. I hope this review didn’t sound mean. My heart breaks for Molly’s family!

It should have been called all the Ugly and Ugly things. No amount of "love" can make this story acceptable. I'm sorry that I listened to it. The only positive thing I can say about this book is that the performers were excellent.

I thought this article contained a lot of good information, but it is hardly a book. I paid for this thinking I was getting a book. After I PAID for it I discovered it was only like 18 minutes long! I feel ripped off, even if the small bit of information was good.

I think Amazon needs to make sure that someone actually bought this book before they review it. I know many Trump followers think that he and Megyn are feuding. If you actually read the book you would know that they aren't. I think the people giving this book 1 star, are probably people who would never buy or read this book. I throughly enjoyed hearing this honest and admirable book about Megyn Kelly's life.
