Nova and Tanners story was a really interesting listen with such an emotional rollercoaster. The main character Nova is a Native American woman with spunk and plenty of attitude. However , she's also a sweet and loving mother to her son Teo. Tanner is her brothers best friend. Though the two fought there attraction to each other mightily, love concurred all. Really great read.

I loved 4c Angie and Ryan together! The male narrator was superb and really kept me entertained. His voice was really smooth. I literally could listen to him talk all day. The storyline flowed effortlessly. The character development was spot on. This was a really great book. I'm so glad that Mrs. House decided to add her different series to Audible. Can't wait to listen to the next book in the series!! That scene at the table when the ex walks up was great!!

I loved Everett and Jo!! Their story was great! The character development was spot on and the narrator was superb. This story held my attention from beginning to end. I loved how they stuck together no matter what. It frustrates me to no end to see characters break up just because things get a bit uncomfortable. Jo and Big South had a love that burned up the pages! The sub characters even managed to make an impact on the story without taking over. I hope that book two will be placed on Audible. There was no sappy unrealistic love story here. The characters were relatable and truly interesting. Credit well spent!

Wow..... It's not often that I read or listen to a book that keeps me completely engrossed from beginning to end. This book was superb. There were so many intricate story lines that were seamlessly woven together. I loved how the story jumped back and forth between decades, but still managed to stay on topic. I've never listened to anything quite like this. I loved the ending of the book. This book was well worth the credit. Can I just say that the narrator was superb!!! Her voice managed to change from 90 year old woman to racist teenager. She was fabulous! If I didn't know any better I would have sworn that there was an entire cast of narrator's.

Can I just say wow?! This story grabbed me from page one and completely held my attention! It was everything I didn't know I needed in a book. I love books with dual narration. I wish more authors would get on board with the idea. The male narrator had a voice like warm honey. Smooth and sweet. The females voice was also spot on for a woman from the south. I laughed out loud continuously. I cried... Then I laughed some more. I loved Jacks bossy attitude. I laughed literally every time Bianca opened her mouth. I love to hear a female lead that gives as good as she gets. The recipes given in this book pushed it to 10 stars for me. I hate that it had to end. Buy this book asap! You won't be able to stop listening.

First let me say that I love Sandra Kitt 's work. Second the narrator did an amazing job! She really put on an excellent performance. Now...
This portion may have a spoiler or three. Please read at your own risk. I hate a character that has no back bone. I understand and fully believe that you must forgive and move forward. That being said, I don't know of any woman who would just go along with the regularly scheduled program after finding out she was betrayed in the worst way by someone so close to her. That entire situation was totally unrealistic to me. I darn near put the book down in frustration listening to Gail rant and rave with total disregard for Leah's feelings. Also, I don't believe I ever heard the exact year the story was supposed to be taking place.
