It’s always hard to make the crowd laugh - especially when joking about war, PTSD, and mental health. Strong Ending follows three military veterans as they attempt to turn their most painful stories into laughs by participating in a stand-up comedy boot camp. After joining the military, deploying to combat zones, and coming home fundamentally changed, Michael Garvey, Isaura Ramirez, and Patrick Harth challenge themselves to share their stories on stage and perform original stand up-comedy about their experiences for a packed house.

As a veteran I was gad to hear some of my similar issues treated with respect and introspect. Why Mary Louise Parker though, is she a veteran? Why not Rob Riggle, Gary Sinise, or any Hollywood star who previously served? (she did fine though)

A young couple buys a beautiful house by a picturesque lake in the Catskills, looking to escape the bustle of the city to raise their newborn baby. It is a perfect place for a fresh start. Except that nothing is ever as perfect as it seems. As autumn nights close in around their home, they learn that darkness takes many forms. And sometimes that darkness is hungry. New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Maberry delivers an unsettling Audible Original that will give listeners the Halloween creeps all year round.

After a long day of prepping a house for painting, all Gus Berry wanted was the night off to spend some time with his girlfriend and relax before having to return to work the next morning. But that isn’t going to happen. Because Gus’s co-worker Benny has found a one-night job at the local Mollymart East, a job that has to be done by morning. If Gus and his paint crew can complete the work by then, it could mean huge business with a respected, established grocery store chain.

Science fiction at its finest, ill be thinking about this book for weeks. From realistic prezent social tragedies, to decades old acts of war-the span of time covered is referenced smoothly. The characters' interactions are deep, with humor and love being obvious. The ending is the first time I teared up over anything in a while.Excellent narration and terrific writing-on a level not reached by many today!!

I like to think that maybe such a extended series (14 books later) that I would want a quick ending but I found myself actually enjoying the step by step breakdown of a military strategy to finally get rid of the biological undead terors. After all the team losses, no way I could handle each chapter's tension. The stress of each situation that was so well written I actually found myself sweating while listening! This series has one word that spells doom in each book, and its spelled "but.."because any time anything is going well theres a 'but..' or 'but then...' right arounnd the corner.Anyway I think Ill just quote Fuchs and RC Bray as always, and just be happy that *ZED'S DEAD BABY*

Sinclair Rutherford is a young Seattle cop with a taste for the finer things. Doing menial tasks and getting hassled by superiors he doesn't respect are definitely not "finer things". Good police work and bad luck lead him to crack a case that changes quickly from a career-making break into a high-profile humiliation when footage of his pursuit of the suspect - wildly inappropriate murder weapon in hand - becomes an Internet sensation.

Ive never heard of a team like this,?! what a great idea!! Characters are incredibly lovable-the crime is reality based and believable. Excellent narration, Daniels emotes Rutherford's frustration perfectly. If this ever was used as a potential film or tv series, then I want to invest!! I really hope Scott Meyer brings forth a sequel, just literary gold! (gold as honey, that is)

In the fourth installment of The Black Knight Chronicles, Jimmy Black is having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day and a darned fine pity party, serving the finest alcohol, when a call from his not-quite-girlfriend-cop forces him to sober up and stare at jawbones. "Cold case" takes on a whole new meaning when vampire detectives risk life and limbs (literally) to connect a series of decades-old kidnappings in Charlotte with current missing persons cases. All clues lead through the veil of Faerieland to the legendary Goblin's Market, a magical bazaar where anything is available--for a price. The boys can barely stay out of trouble in Charlotte. As fresh meat at The Market, they'll be lucky to survive the day.

Whie similar to typical 'modern vampire' lexicons (no need for invites to enter, varying strengths or weaknesses depending on sire ,etc), I found this very entertaining and the nearly nonexistent foul language was a breath of relief. The story wasnt soured by the prepubescent vernacular of a mouthy preteen. The series had its out-there moments but they were always reminding the reader,"this is cool and all but we got a mission to finish".Nick J. Russo is an excellent narrator and he overall did incredible , even if he made Bobby the Medical Examiner and Greg vocal twins.I hope to find more of John G. Hartness' writing especially on Audible.I wouldve given the series 6 stars of allowed!
