When the aliens came down and told us they’d enslave all of the human race if we didn’t send our bigliest warrior to participate in their arena death games, I laughed at them. It was really funny because they obviously didn’t know who they were dealing with. Know what I mean? Then they said they would pick the greatest warrior, and they picked Marc Havak. He seemed like such an average guy, but he was a true-blue American. He even worked as a truck driver! That’s the kind of good guy we want defending us from aliens.

Fun filled romp through the back road trucking lanes to the farthest reaches of the universe. This book's no end of one liners and great heroes making it easily one of my new guilty pleasures.

Though not a question Jeremiah ever expected to ponder, he is nevertheless looking forward to seeing what the aforementioned duo will cook up. Success or failure does not matter to Richard, only that the journey be entertaining.

"We require a different battlefield." Nobody expected the war to last three hours, let alone three years. The star system of Archangel holds the line against invading corporate fleets, but a quarter of its territory is already lost. The navy can't hang on much longer. Faced with this grim truth, Archangel's leaders shift their strategy to diplomacy and espionage. For both arenas, they call upon a reluctant weapon: a frontline grunt named Tanner Malone. These days Tanner doesn't aspire to win the war.

I was very surprised by this book and series in general. Though provoking, intelligent it was a very enjoyable experience. In addition, my military background made his books even more interesting.

My thanks to the author for a great series.

Not reading the Hobbit for an enthusiast of fantasy, is as much the same as never seeing a sunset. I encourage anyone to set aside a nice cozy area and an afternoon and partake in this classic.
