The author outlines frames of mind that help us look for ways to reframe our interactions into win-win situations. Certainly worth trying in our day to day interactions.

If you think your brain and mind are one, think again. According to the interpersonal neurobioligy pioneer Daniel J. Siegel, the mind actually emerges out of the interaction between your brain and relationships. Now, with The Neurobiology of "We", Dr. Siegel invites you on a journey to discover this revolutionary new model of human development - one that can positively transform trauma, move you from stress to calm and equanimity, and promote well-being for you, your family, or even your community.

The author attempts to propose that consciousness consists of brain, mind, and connection to others. Given Siegel's reputation in interpersonal psychology I was hopful that he would present his proposal with clear linear logic and give me plenty of food for thought. Unfortunately this book is more of a collection of factoids and loosely connected ideas that never add up to a real argument. I found this very frustrating.

What begins as the simple story of a man's true love for a gay unicorn sailor quickly evolves into something else entirely, each tale pulling farther and farther out to reveal a breathtaking glimpse at the greatest author of our time. Like a butt within a butt within butt, this trilogy will have your perception of time and space turned completely upside down in total buttception. Welcome to the future of literature.

Take this one slowly - at half speed at first. You may need to dip in and out of this one a few times, but soon you'll find yourself going faster and faster. You may only be able to take this story a few installments at a time, but once you've warmed up to it you'll wish it would go on forever!

Jenny Lawson realized that the most mortifying moments of our lives - the ones we'd like to pretend never happened - are in fact the ones that define us. In Let's Pretend This Never Happened, Lawson takes readers on a hilarious journey recalling her bizarre upbringing in rural Texas, her devastatingly awkward high school years, and her relationship with her long-suffering husband, Victor.
