There is a large gap between wanting something and actually obtaining it, especially if we are talking about success, so you must act with haste if you want to be successful.

Our gut is almost as important to us as our brain, yet we know very little about how it works. Gut: The Inside Story is an entertaining, informative tour of the digestive system from the moment we raise a tasty morsel to our lips until the moment our body surrenders the remnants to the toilet bowl. No topic is too lowly for the author's wonder and admiration, from the careful choreography of breaking wind to the precise internal communication required for a cleansing vomit.

I like the info. I'm not sure why she spends half hour on tonsil tongue mouth etc. I'm only in the first hour.

Author isn't funny when she tries. Quite annoying at that as she is wasting listeners time.

Also I'm not so interested in her life and her feelings. She is a doctor. She should deliver the material and leave herself out of it, if she isn't needed.

The narrator has a good voice but she isn't good at narrating. She isn't trained for this job. Is this her first book? After each sentence, there is a silence. She does the same after a small phrase too. So every 3 words, there is a silence. And I find non American accent makes listening difficult. Amazon is an American company. They should have certain professional, accent, vocal criteria.

Anyway this is a good buy as gut health is important. Maybe a paper book is better.

It doesn't talk much about techniques and mechanics of writing. It's more about the philosophy, attitude , style , and approach to writing.

Brevity simplicity clarity active verbs and short nouns are important in good writing. He said when we say a writing has a good style we mean is we like his personality. Author answers who should writing and many basic abstract questions and he gives good reasons.

The writer is practical. No nonsense at all.

I only finished half of this audio. The second half is about memoir writing. I'll listen tomorrow.

I think this is a good book for beginners so i gave 4 stars. For me, it is not a good book because i have the knowledge of the content on coffee, water, fiber, fat and etc. I wish these books would specify for "what level" this book is for. It's not fair for a 6th grader to do 1st grader work. Wasted a lot of precious time.

Buy this book if you are at the beginning stage of changing your lifestyle. Skip this book, if you are already midway in your journey.

Hope this review helps.

Sir Winston Churchill was a British statesman, orator, and author who, as prime minister, rallied the British people during World War II and led Britain to an allied victory. Churchill's "bulldog" spirit seemed to summarise the mood of the British people even during the bad times, such as Dunkirk, and the inspirational victories, such as the Battle of Britain. His was a brilliant mind, full of wit and intelligence; his oratory brilliance and his admirable style led him to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953.

Jung regarded the unconscious and its symbolic content as crucial to our psychological development; among the central concepts of analytical psychology is individuation, which is the lifelong psychological process of differentiation of the self. Jung considered it to be the main task looming over every human being in their development, and experimented with a variety of practices to dive always deeper into it. These 100 quotes have been carefully selected to introduce you to his character and his way of thinking, and to inspire you into making your own discoveries about the unconscious.
