I applaud the narrator for reading and finishing this book.

I was not a fan. Firstly, I had an issue with the interview that took place as Lyzette was looking for employment. The clothing that she wore to the interview wasn't proper attire, a tight shirt showing cleavage and a short skirt with 4 inch heels does not land you a job as an assistant or secretary. Now I do understand that Lyzette has been led astray by her mother and her teachings, but I don't understand how she as a human didn't grasp the fact that clothing affects some men and sends the wrong message. I personally have a problem with society and how they label women as lesser based on their article of clothing or profession, but I just found it impossibly childish for Lyzette to continue believing that things like clothing does not tie into the attention she receives.

Second, I don't understand or see the connection of the mail order bride agency with this book. The agency was vaguely mentioned during the first half of the book but only once and randomly at that. I thought it weird to be associated with the Terra Mates series, when the agency was not actually used in the process of mail brides.

Third, I hate the use of slaves. I personally don't find the idea attractive unless it is only used in the bathroom as a domineering manner, and not an act of life. I could be biased on this part, but I couldn't get into the fact that she was purchased and meant to be used as a slave and while Lyzette went along with her new life.

I had many more issues with this book, I was hoping the second book in the series would give me a little more feelings than the first but alas I am yet again left unsatisfied. I am not sure if I will continue to read/listen to the remaining books in the series, but I am curious to see if they get any better as they progress.

Why would I want to be married to an alien? I should not have applied to TerraMates! The idea was crazy. I'm a young woman, in the prime of my life. But I was desperate. When I landed on another world, his appearance intrigued me. He dripped sexuality and moved like an animal. We have three days together before he sets sail without me. Am I going to escape or submit to my desires?

The narration on this book left me feeling like I didn't listen to the whole book. Moments when the narrator's should have shown excitement or any type of emotion just left me wanting and waiting for more to happen. I feel the story could have been really great, but although it took until chapter 16 for any of the good stuff to happen, the build up wasn't exciting and once the sexiness began it all seemed rushed. I was able to finish the book, but I was once again left wondering if I even heard the entire story or just a piece of it. I may try listening to the next story to see if it gets any better, but for right now I'm left with a poor taste.

So I enjoyed the book enough that I didnt need to stop it while listening. I did have problems with the story itself, there were many things that weren't explained; the fact that they both spoke the same language, a random moment that Jessie had a translator, but we never knew so until well within the book. It was little things such as that, that made me pause. I'm glad to see that the authors are waiting for the two younger sisters to come of age, I was getting a little weirded out by Taylor and Saber. Overall it was a decent read.

*****Spoiler alert*****

How cute, this story line was very captivating. Catgirl and Jackson are so cute and easy to love. The pace of the book was nice, and I like how the authors tied in the two main characters early connection to their current lives. Although I would have like more information on Jackson, the peak into his past was very good but I want more. I appreciate how human Jackson was written, at time the supernatural or aliens are so perfect that they have no doubts about the person they want to mate, I liked that Jackson had weaknesses. Now Kylie, aka Catgirl is a character I would like to be in real life, how badass is it that she's a hacker, and knows all the computer tricks? The way the book was set up for them to first meet face-to-face, was genius and automatically showed that these two are flawed. Lastly, I wish we could have seen the pups, or cats, an epilogue would have given me the heart warming ending I needed.

Cute story, easy read, and easy to following along with. The book hit on every note I usually want in a story such as this. Although I did think the relationship moved along really quickly, I loved the chemistry between the two. There were moments of self-consciousness, doubt, betrayal and so forth. I enjoyed the story.

I enjoyed this second book in the series. I like that the author continued Sarah and Roland's story from the first book, of course there wasn't a lot of details, but they were mentioned in the book and we got to hear from them instead of them just being players in the background. Amy is a handful, there are a couple of twists and turns that come with her, and about halfway through we're let in on her secret and it changes the whole thought process of the books to come. Marcus, well he is finally getting what he deserves, a chance to actually live life and not just watch it. Can't wait to start the next book.

This take a shifter society was a little refreshing. Seeing into the wolf shifters with their rules and laws gave me a new view on things that could go on behind the scenes. The overall book was good, I wasn't hanging of the edge of my seat, but I did want to know what happened. Winter's character appeared strong even though there were moments she doubted herself, she continued to push forward. Not overly sexual but still there was a couple of sex scenes throughout. I enjoyed it.
