I am an audible addict. I listen to 4+ audio books per month. Typically I listen to contemporary fiction and psychological thrillers but every so often throw in a historical fiction novel and this book kept coming up in my recommended list. The reviews really sold me and I am so happy I listened to this book. I highly recommend It and bring it in the top 10 of hundreds of books I listen to over the years. The narration was phenomenal as well.

This book is worth 15 credits in my opinion! I listen to 3-4 books a month but rarely write a review. I normally listen to contemporary fiction and mystery/suspense. This book kept coming up on my recommendations. I’ve listened to Diane Chamberlain before and enjoyed her books but not so much that I want to listen to every one of her books, if that makes any sense. This book was different than the others. This is one of the best books I’ve ever listened to.

Former piano prodigy Nastya Kashnikov wants two things: to get through high school without anyone learning about her past and to make the boy who took everything from her - her identity, her spirit, her will to live - pay. Josh Bennett’s story is no secret: Every person he loves has been taken from his life until, at 17 years old, there is no one left. Now all he wants is be left alone and people allow it because when your name is synonymous with death, everyone tends to give you your space.

Everyone except Nastya, the mysterious new girl at school who starts showing up and won’t go away until she’s insinuated herself into every aspect of his life.
