Not sure why it’s rated “Red Hot” unless I fell asleep and missed a part. But please mind you, I fall to sleep at night to audiobooks so falling asleep just means I enjoyed and relaxed.

I really like the male narrator but not his depiction of female voices. I love CJ Bloom but EVERY time I hear a book with her, I go back to Sophie and Neil. Again, that’s not a bad thing, it can can just be funny if it’s a character like this sweet geeky computer nerd and all of a sudden, I’m picturing Neil....

Overall, this story was fun. I liked both main characters and liked the chemistry between them. Makes me almost wish I didn’t have a Mac anymore. I wonder if you can find a guy like Simon at the Genius Bar? I thought that Cassie’s list of kinky situations was a bit quirky but maybe that was because of her lack of experience with kinks.

I enjoy when an author brings a ‘cause’ to their books, like Simon’s sister. I think any time we can highlight and educate, even slightly, we owe others that bit of good. I also think it makes romance books more inclusive when characters who are POC, differently abled, on a large spectrum of sexuality, etc are depicted. I don’t know about other readers but I get tired of perfect beautiful and rich characters all the time. As much as I want to be taken to a new world, I like my worlds grounded in some reality.

Altogether, this was a feel good, HEA story. It was tame enough to listen to while gardening but racy enough that your blush isn’t just from deadheading your roses. I think if the story was slightly longer, some of the secondary characters could have been expanded a bit more to give the story more depth.

I would definitely listen to another story by Tawna Fenske.

So I listened to Wellhung in Vegas that was labeled a rom com but really didn’t seem like it. This story was much funnier. It actually reminded me of some British comedic plays. I didn’t found Wellhung to be a good story but not funny.

Dex starts off as a man-whore and ends up down a twisted path by the end. How can you not love a HEA?

This is one of MANY audible books where I like the male narrator as the male character and the female character as the female but don’t love them as the opposite. Noelle does a better male narration than Alexander does female. I love Alexander though, to be sure. But, again, like many books, the male narrator makes the female lead sound like a cartoon character, bauble head. The female narrator makes the male lead sound much sweeter and soft than his character really is. In this case, if Noelle and Alexander swapped every other chapter but then did the dialogue for Riley & Dex respectively, I would have LOVED this production.

Overall, I enjoyed both stories. In the future, I would listen to something else by Kimberly Fox. I enjoyed the twists that took me from start to finish and was happy with how entertained I was for an evening.

Good job Ms Fox, Ms Bridges, & Mr. Cendese.

I must have slept through the red hot parts. This is more seductive at best. There wasn’t a lot of sex period.

The story was good. I enjoyed the banter but the lead female got on my nerves quite a bit. She was so hateful to him at times. It seems like he grew and changed a lot more than she did and I think she should have given him a bit of a break. The thing I liked the least was his hot to cold in two seconds after he saw his friend. How do you ‘stalk” someone and obsess over them and then go as cold as ice? That just didn’t seem like him, even if he had lost everything.

The narration was good; I prefer a male narrator or at least dual narration.

I think if the book had not been rated red hot and I had not expected something else, I would have enjoyed it more.

Worth a listen on audible escape.

I enjoyed this story, after listening to one of the other books by this author. I don’t know if it was the same female narrator but both were HORRIBLE! The male narrator was good, maybe a little deep or older than I expect but I could listen to him most of the day.

The two main characters are so compelling, well-written, deep, etc. I was really afraid that the sex was going to be crazy, not crazy hot, but just blooming crazy, but there have been BDSM books I’ve read with much worse sex than Bait.

This author writes some pretty kinky stories but this and Call Me Daddy stories were actually good. There were reasons each character had the kink they did and they each had to deal with their histories.

Overall, i’d Like to buy more of west’s books but I think i’ll Get them on Kindle, not audible, especially if it’s the same female narrator.

Jade, thanks for the stories, this one was a nail biter. So glad I stumbled upon you.

I thought about pausing this book a few times or finding a different one but I stuck with it. I liked the narrators much better on this book than the Benefits series.

The sex scenes were ok but far from scorching. I expected a little more but I enjoyed it overall.

I really liked Damien’s character. I had just listened to a web series about how a man shows his love vs how a woman does and Damien displayed a lot of the characteristics that the author had talked about. I loved how protective he was toward Krista. I love that he showed his love by doing things. So many books involve a millionaire and diamonds. Damien was a ‘real guy”, like my best guy friend. Damien would have done anything for her from killing a spider to bringing her food to protecting her and willing to lay down his life (the latter another thing that men do to show their love). I think Mickey MILLER does a good job
at crafting his male leading characters. I love that they fall in love first, that you hear their inner dialogue about falling before the females. His books have helped me to see that with all of the internal struggles women go through, men go through their own. It’s been enlightening.

I plan to see what other books I can find from Mickey.

This is one of several books from Lauren Landish that I’ve listened to lately. I have enjoyed all of them so far. Dirty Deeds, Dirty Secrets, Dirt Talk, Sold, Mr CEO. . . all great. She consistently weaves a fantastic tale.

I really enjoyed the story and as always, Sebastian York delivers a great narration and well, let’s face it. . . Don’t you want every man I this world to sound like Sebastian!

I didn’t love Tracy Marks narration. Several female narrators seem to deliver in the same way, their inflection being odd. Things like ending every sentence on an uptick.

Keith is a great character and I fell in love with his cranky, bossy ways!

This is the second book of the series but i’m going to review here instead of in both places. There were so many twists and turns in this book that I almost got car sick. But this was more like love sick. Every times I thought I knew what was going on, it turned out to be something totally different. It left me on edge, buzzing, and at times a little frantic to get to the end because I trusted the author to get me to an amazing destination.

The best thing about this book was that it made me in-intellectual. As much as I got sucked into the twists and turns, I finally had to submit and let go, not trying to second guess or try to plan out the plot two steps ahead. There was no need to and it seemed to bring a very Zen experiencing of it.

I love both narrators a lot. I could never tire of listening to Sebastian York. Despite how many books i’ve Listened to him narrate, he becomes each character and I’m never disappointed by him. I think after a few books with him narrating, I realized without a doubt that I like male narrators better by far. And even better is falling asleep to York whispering in my ears as I doze off.

Enjoy book 1 & 2, every delicious moment of it. I’m getting ready to listen to a Real Good Man, but i’m going to give myself a day to recoup.

I love listening to Ani Pema Chodron's audios. Although Thay is my root teacher, I admire Pema and can relate to so much of what she says. As an East Coast woman, she just resonates where my heart is. If Pema has written it or recorded it, I'm buying.

There are so many issues to sit with on the cushion but Pema distillate her wisdom like an older sister or aunt whose been there, done that, and lived through it, and flourished. Fail, fail again... Is just such wisdom.

Ani Pema, thank you for oldish space while we leap, reminding us to start where we are, helping us to acknowledge the traps we bite onto time and time again. I always find your teachings much more accessible than the teachings at the Shambhala centers.

With great appreciation, I bow you to, a Buddha to be
