The only thing fancy about London Kelly was her name. She was a jeans-and-boots kind of girl. Her perfume was the smell of hay. And her days were spent in the saddle. Except for a few bumps in the road she had a pretty good life. Until.... Her dad died. Now, she’s left running the family cattle ranch and horse stables. The sexy sheriff has decided that he wants more than a one night stand. And her employees believe that she has no business running a ranch. Sometimes the strongest cowboys aren’t boys.... They’re women.

I'm in love with this woman's books but at the same time, I'm in love with Stella Bloom's narration. Not sure which is better.

I liked the little bit of suspense (not mystery, you totally know who the a$$h@le is the entire time) that is woven in and just enough unknowns that keep you scratching your head.

As always the author has me laughing.

I only wanted a tattoo. A mark on my body to remind me of who I used to be. Something to hold onto when I started my penance for all the things I'd done wrong, the bad choices I'd made by the time I turned 19. Instead, I found a night of possibility, of truth, of hope for the future. And the most intense physical connection I've ever had. The only one I've ever had, and one I will never forget.

He wore suits, and I wore biker boots. He went to university, and I went to trade school. He lived in a big home, and I lived in a tiny apartment. When my world was turned upside down, he took me in his arms and promised to help me find a new direction. Now I’ve lost my job, I've been separated from my friends, and any day, an eviction notice was bound to show up. Unfortunately, my journey was tougher than he had imagined. When nothing goes right, look who’s left.

I learned the hard way that being a handywoman isn't easy. The questions, the stares - the assumption that I'm the proud owner of a cock and balls. Not that it matters. I've proven over and over that I'm ready for anything the judgmental asses throw at me. Except the hot, single dad of twins who just moved to town. Brantley Cooper gets the shock of his life when I show up on his doorstep to fix up his kids' new rooms. His son is confused why 'the pretty lady has a drill,' and his daughter has a new obsession - me. On paper, my job is easy. Go in, do their bedrooms, and leave.

But long ago, Shirleen made her choice. It affected who she was and would always be. She decided to settle for what she had and not want more. She had good friends. She was raising two fine young men who weren't hers, but she loved them anyway. She was good. And then Moses Richardson crashed into her life, literally...and deliberately.

The narrator is a good narrator and would have been great had she not been set up for failure from the very beginning. I've listened to all of the books and Shirleen has a voice, a life, a persona and unfortunately this book did not deliver. I felt as though I was listening to a stranger’s story. There just weren't the same ”ooo eee’s” that told me I was back with the group I loved.

They always say that two wrongs don’t make a right.... Well, she was wrong for breaking into a house that didn’t belong to her, even if she and her daughter had nowhere else to go. And, I was wrong for watching her on the surveillance camera as she moved through the house and climbed into bed. So, I offered her a job and a home. Her smile.... Her curves.... Wrong has never felt so right. Now, I want to make the biggest impact yet...I want to make her mine.

Some people are unforgettable. Like the first sheriff that pulled you over for speeding. The first person to kiss you senseless on the hood of a car. And the first guy to make you orgasm. But when all of those things are from the same man, let’s just say unforgettable doesn’t even come close. I wonder if he ever thinks about me and everything we almost had. Oh, he remembers, and he’s prepared to put his money where his mouth is....

Some things in life were inevitable: death, taxes, and lying, whore-mongering men. One woman would never be enough for one man. So I traded in men for a Harley. Nothing beats that kind of power between my legs. Then I blinked. And he was there.

Great book. Great narrators. I'm a fan of Stella Bloom ever since she did the Rock Chick series under her other name. So to hear her on this "girl gang" book was wonderful. Add in the male narrator who really brought Kayson to life and it was fabulous.
