But after a confidence-shattering breakup, she’s determined not to let anyone at her new workplace push her around - least of all the brooding creative director, a “bad boy of publishing”. Sebastian Quinn's taste for fast cars, late nights, and beautiful women may have gotten him to the top of a leading New York magazine, but the reputation that made him is suddenly threatening to end his career. I just wasn't able to like the heroine. She ran hot and cold, and I just couldn't get past her being a doormat one second, and a raging b!tch the next.

The story has its ups and downs, but when you can't connect with one of the main characters, it is hard to like the story as a whole.

The narrators were perfect! They are both on my *have to listen to* list. They get 5 STARS!

Once again I find myself in the less-than-stellar-review aisle, but please don't let my personal view prevent you from buying this book. Just because I couldn't connect with the story, it doesn't mean you can't either.

Happy Listen!

I liked the series preceding this one, however, the SEALs on this book are portrayed as extremely incompetent. Also, there are things that take place in the Middle East that involve a woman by herself in the middle of the night that are just not possible for a woman to do there. And I know it is fantasy, but... It just doesn't happen.

I did like seeing all the characters from the previous series, and I did like some of this story, but just the hero calling the heroine *ma petite fée* every other line annoyed the heck out of me. Also, how many bad things need to happen for the heroine to figure out they are not coincidental.

Savannah Peachwood's narration was great as usual, but I just couldn't get past the way the SEAL team in this book was portrayed. They simply looked inept.

By the way, don't let my negative review influence you, I think I might be the only one with a less than stellar feedback. This book was just not for me.

I usually have lower expectations when I read/listen to rockstar romance. I don't expect intelligent people, and I expect the groupies all over the rockstars, however, I didn't get to see a rockstar romance, I simply have no clue what it was that I listened to. The narration was as bad as the story. 2019 hasn't been good for me in the audiobook department. I'll have to keep hoping.

I will not recommend this book, but as it has many decent reviews on the kindle version, I guess some of you might like it. It just wasn't for me. ***1 STAR***

One break is all The Crow Brothers need, and we’re about to get it. Johnny Outlaw, rock legend and lead singer of The Resistance, is here to watch us play. But he’s not the only familiar face in the crowd - killer little body, heart-shaped face, and drop-dead gorgeous. Hannah Nichols sitting at the bar makes it hard to concentrate with sparks already reigniting. The beauty was never a groupie, and tonight she’s not here to catch our show.

I enjoyed this story very much. The main characters have their usual ups and downs, but everything has a good pace to it, and they finally get their sweet Happily Ever After.

I loved the little boy, and loathed the antagonists. I was very satisfied how they were handled.

Loved the male lead, and the little boy, the heroine not so much. Yes, I know I should take into consideration the state of mind of the heroine being homeless, and her awful past. But there are times when stupidity is passed as *pride* and the heroine is hellbent in not accepting help that would benefiT not only to her, but her 7 year old child. She was extremely exasperating to me. I always enjoy Erin Mallon's narration.

He’s bossy, moody, and overprotective. He’s also a pro athlete who needs to focus on winning games and staying out of the headlines. I’m fiercely independent and need a man like I need a second period each month. So when our worlds collide, I never expected him to be the one to jump in and save me. Especially not when my roommate disappears, leaving me with her baby. I’m clueless about babies - and it shows. Good thing Alexei isn’t.

The main story was just meh for me. Besides, it was not 7 hours. it was more like 4 - less if you listened to the 1 hour plus from the previous book. I was going to give it more stars as I did like the bonus novel, but I am rating the advertised story, not the bonus one.

Jason Clarke was brilliant as usual, and would have loved to have more of him to listen to. Erin Mallon is always good.

Some people might like it, but it was not for me.

To me it was not worth the credit/money and time.

After spending years disclosing his innermost secrets and demons to a person he said *saved his life* the hero decides to meet in person with a woman that not only helped him, but became his online friend for years. it is not believable then when the male lead suddenly decides to supposedly *man up* and go *solo* to get out of an awful situation from his past (which the heroine knew about) by lying to that person his lies would hurt the most. It is unforgivable what he did to the female lead. There was no need to lie to her as she knew everything he had gone through. The hurt and humiliation he puts her through by ghosting her the way he did is most definitely one of the worst betrayals. He not only lies, but he cuts all communication leaving the heroine in limbo, she had no idea what the heck was going on. And by the end, all the hurt he caused her was all for nothing, as he ended up in a bigger mess than the one he was trying to avoid.

Not recommended. Not worth the credit/money or time.

A very enjoyable story. I had not listened to a historical romance in a while, and I was glad to have picked this one.

Loved the main characters. Very stubborn the two of them.

Love comes slowly for two people who don’t believe in it, or don’t want anything to do with it.

Good twists and turns. I thought I had the villain figured out, but I was wrong which was a nice surprise.

The narration was excellent.

It was worth the credit, so I would recommend it.
