I love all her books in this series but this one was a little irksome. to have so called strong black women characters play into hypocritical, double standards is so last decade. at least the author could have let the female characters call out the deceptive behaviors the Male characters did also instead of just beg for forgiveness for their equal sins. if her and her husband both kissed other people they should both be called out on it. also, the author needed to research sex addition. the way it was used in the book os completely wrong. I bet if she knew sex addicts often engage in same sex acts as well as heterosexual sex she would not have used it bc of all the Christian standards used. out side of those things the book was great. I would definable recommend just beware the ideals are severely dated.

ok the author clearly didnt research her content matter. it's a fiction story but it was annoying bc it was so legally wrong. the main character could have sued based on common law marriage in NYC then they would have had to determine who was the legal wife. and if she used her sisters identity to sign her baby's birth certificate and all the paperwork daughter then how can the baby daddy sue her and not her sister for custody. and how did the bd find out she had a child aaannnddd. she could have just filed ss for the brother for the other child. I know this doesn't make sense unless you read it. but the author needed to do a better job for her plot to work. it's just so illogical. the book is meant to be realistic fiction but the. circumstances are just wrong. it really bothered me. the legal circumstances are common knowledge too. you dont have to know law in depth to know the basic laws pertinent to making the story work. And some of the 2ndary plots are left incomplete. Just sloppy story telling.
