This is the first book I’ve read by DiAnn Mills. I enjoyed the book, but it dragged in places. Part of that may have been the narration, which is somewhat stilted. There are awkward pauses in a lot of the sentences. I liked that there was no clue until close to the end, but I think it could have been told in a few less chapters without missing the point of the novel.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews but I wasn’t at all disappointed. The story kept my interest, had enough plot turns to keep it flowing, and was well-written, classic to his other books. I loved the narrator, who had a great style and held my interest, as well as helped me see what the story conveyed. My next step is to look for more books narrated by her.

I loved this book! The story held my interest and I couldn’t wait to be able to listen again. I usually only get to listen while I’m driving and I found myself taking longer routes to my errands so I could listen more. It was very well read and I would listen to other books read by this person. I found myself wanting to start my own prayer box. The ending was a wonderful twist that surprised me with delight.

I would recommend this book for all age readers, from the teenager just discovering the intricacies of life and love to the older mature woman who has seen life and love and can see where God’s Hans has been.

This was a great book with a good performance. The last chapters felt a little rushed to finish the plot and wrap up the story, and the suspect could have been developed a bit more. All in all, a good book if it's one that makes me laugh and keeps me in suspense. It also gave me moments when I wondered aloud about a situation in the story that I wanted to hear more.

I absolutely love how this author weaves the struggles that we all face as Christians, even if we aren't being chased by a mad man. I never have to listen to bad language or inappropriate scenes. The author just moves the players through their daily lives and struggles with living in a corrupt world and how they choose to deal with it.

I liked this book better than the first one. The characters acted in a more believable manner and didn't get into situations that would not likely occur in real life. The twists were great with an unexpected ending. I love that this is a Christian author who displays that in her books in a very natural manner.

The performance was good, and it was well read. Many complained that the first book in this series was whiny at times. That distracted me some in the first book, and this reading is much better. The inflections and voicing was very believable. Since I just recently discovered this author, I will follow her books and can't wait to read more of them.

Casey Cox's DNA is all over the crime scene. There's no use talking to police; they have failed her abysmally before. She has to flee before she's arrested...or worse. The truth doesn't matter anymore. But what is the truth? That's the question haunting Dylan Roberts, the war-weary veteran hired to find Casey. PTSD has marked him damaged goods, but bringing Casey back can redeem him. Though the crime scene seems to tell the whole story, details of the murder aren't adding up.

The storyline was good and kept me interested, and the reading of it was also well produced. Some scenes toward the end, especially concerning the actions of the police needed to be more believable than as they were written. I understand why they were written the way they were, but still found myself asking why wouldn't they have gone about it in another way.

I was especially pleased at the way God and faith were intertwined into the story. As a Christian, I don't always listen to Christian fiction and was so pleased that this book was apparently written by a Christian author, without it being overly preachy. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and will be downloading it as soon as I finish this review so I can find out what happens next.

I love this audio book read by the authors themselves. It was as if they were simply telling their story and didn't seem like they were reading from a book at all.

I liked that it switched from her perspective to his throughout the book. It gave it depth that made it feel even more real.

The only dislike is that it wasn't long enough and I want more. Their values and compassion for others shows clearly, and it's a great audio book for young couples who have just gotten married or are in the process of getting married. It teaches a lot about their relationship and where it is centered in a Christian faith and how they look out for each other's feelings throughout.

This was a well-written light-hearted book and went seamlessly back in time, switching to present, making you want more of each story. The only thing I didn't like was Cleo's character at the Ludlow house. I wish this character had been more sympathetic and excited, while still worrying about her future.

Great narration that fit well with the characters and transitioned well from one character to another.
