My life was perfect - until a shocking tragedy pulled the rug out from underneath me. My children were left without a father. I was without a husband and a provider. Instead of wallowing in my grief, I buried myself in my work at Dovetail Enterprises. Landing the promotion as the CEO’s right hand was exactly what I needed. Getting saddled with Milo Huxley as an assistant is exactly the opposite. I can’t stand him. He’s arrogant, irresponsible, and out for my job. As if that’s not bad enough, he has to be devastatingly sexy, and have a posh English accent that makes me squirm on top of it all.

I loved this story A lot but I did not care for some of the narration. Shane East was great as a man but as a woman not so much. Sophie Eastlake was not bad.

The storyline was amazing and romantic. The sex was spot on. I really loved the humor and the emotions encompassed in this book. I loved the tight knit group of friends and how the emotions played within that unit. This was a very easy listen meaning the chapters just flowed and before one knows it here at chapter 20 something. You will not regret listening to this book. The storyline is that good.

Overall, I would recommend this book.

I've been fighting my own demons for most of my life. The alcohol seems to numb the pain, but it never makes the nightmares go away. All I want in life is a little peace. When I met my angel, it felt like I found it, but there is so much standing between us. Why does she have to be so young?

This book was such an amazing journey. I loved Drake and all his flaws. He is such a sweet soul that endured so much. Try to be a man at such a young age. Turned out to be and amazing Man. Spoiler alert: This book dealt with A lot of tough issues. It was deep. It dealt with abuse, suicide, addiction, self-destruction and paths to recovery. This book truly encompassed heartbreak and hope and love. I highly recommend this book for it will not disappoint. The narrator was amazing. I loved her as Drake even more than I loved her as Lana.

My name is Sevin. Homeschooled and sheltered by my ultra-religious family, I was always taught that lust was a sin. Elle was the girl who'd been carefully chosen for me. After a long-distance courtship, I'd be moving into her family's guest house so that we could get to know each other in the months before the wedding. Boundaries were set: no inappropriate touching, no kissing, no sex before marriage. I'd accepted those rules and my fate - until I met the one I wanted to sin with.

I’m not going to curtail this review. There will be a spoilers. So if you don’t want to know detailed information about this book please skip this review. This book is really heavy and if you are in any bad place in your life or experiencing any emotional issues I do not recommend this book.

This book was a big pill to swallow. There was so much turmoil and emotions and heartbreak that was heavy. I was so mad at Evangeline when she left the way she did. I even considered stopping the book. I just couldn’t take it. It was too much. And then what happened to Elle made it even worse and his obligation to stay and he ended up marrying her!!!! Him telling Evangeline what he had to do to keep Elle happy and feeling loved. There was so much torment. The fact that Elle died was a big Relief for me. I don’t think I’ve ever rated for a character to die more than I rooted for her to just disappear.

The fact that Evangeline came back and they got back together was a plus until you hear what she went through during the five-year period. Omg how much more can Sevin take. I felt really bad for him. He such a great soul despite his demons and insecurities. On the bright side I like that the author did bring Rose back to her father and I really appreciated her calling him Dad. That put a Band-Aid on all the hurt I felt listening to this book. Too heavy despite the sweet sexy love story.

Bane: Naked surfer. Habitual pothead. A con, a liar, a thief, and a fraud. Last I heard, he was extorting the rich and screwing their wives for a living. Which is why I’m more than a little surprised to find him at my threshold, looking for my friendship, my services, and most puzzling of all - looking humbled. Thing is, I’m on a boycott. Literally - cut boys from my life. Permanently. Problem is, Bane is not a boy, he is all man, and I’m falling, crashing, drowning in his sweet, perfect lies.

This story had a lot of emotional aspects. At times it felt like one is on a roller coaster. It encompassed love, humor, heartbreak, sorrow, and real life issues. It was a bit heavy for a romance but still worth the listen. I didn’t really care for the ending because I felt it was rushed. The ending felt like an afterthought. I did like the character of Bane. I liked his cockiness and his attitude.

Let's get one thing straight - I'm not your usual bad boy billionaire. I'm actually a nice guy. A very nice guy who also enjoys turning a woman over my knee and spanking her ass until she begs for mercy - AKA a good, hard, hold-her-down-and-teach-her-who's-boss f--k. I'm a gentleman in the boardroom and a dominant in the bedroom. I've also been secretly in love with my sweet, sexy, too-innocent-for-her-own-good executive assistant, Jane, for the better part of two years.

Célian Laurent. Manhattan royalty. Notorious playboy. Heir to a media empire...and my new boss. I could have impressed him, if not for last month's unforgettable one-night stand. I left it with more than orgasms and a pleasant memory - namely, his wallet. Now he's staring me down like I'm the dirt under his Italian loafers, and I'm supposed to take it. But the thing about being Judith "Jude" Humphry is I have nothing to lose. Brooklyn girl. Infamously quirky. Heir to a stack of medical bills and a tattered couch.

It should have been easy. I needed the money. He needed a babysitter to keep him from snorting himself to death. I was cherry-picked especially for him. Responsible. Optimistic. Warm. Innocent. The worst part is that I should have known better. Alex Winslow. British rock star. Serial heartbreaker. Casanova with whiskey eyes. “Don’t get near the devil in a leather jacket. He’ll chew you up and spit you out.” Guess what? I didn’t listen. I signed the contract. World tour. Three months. Four Continents. 100 shows. This book was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed the plot, the humor, and the romance. Spoiler alert:
The one thing I did not like about the boom is the fact that their first time together was ambiguous due to her being drugged not really remembering anything. That really made me a bit frustrated because I was waiting for the moment when they would finally get together. I felt cheated from that particular scene/emotion. I felt that the author took away from the reader that high/climax that one waits for in such books. that’s pretty much the only bad thing about this book hence the three stars for the story.

As an NHL player, relationships haven't been my thing. Shrouded in secrecy and speculation, they never last very long. But then that's what happens when you require an NDA before the first date. Until Charlene. She's like a firefly. She's elusive, and if you catch her she'll burn bright, but keeping her trapped dulls her fire and dims her beauty. I caught her. And as much as I might want to keep her, I'll never put the lid on her jar. Not at the risk of losing her. So I've let her set the rules in our relationship.

So you may ask, who is Adam Connor? He is the recently divorced, Academy Award-winning actor who just moved in next door with his kid. He also happens to be an exquisite male specimen and the most infuriating sly bastard I've ever come across. While I was being thoughtful by not breaking and entering, and was actually considering going over to offer him a shoulder to cry on (you know, because of his divorce), instead he had me thrown in jail after a small incident. Jail, people!
