Elsa is seven years old and different. Her grandmother is 77 years old and crazy, standing-on-the-balcony-firing-paintball-guns-at-men-who-want-to-talk-about-Jesus crazy. She is also Elsa's best and only friend. At night Elsa takes refuge in her grandmother's stories, in the Land of Almost-Awake and the Kingdom of Miamas, where everybody is different and nobody needs to be normal.

Have you ever wanted to read the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, and really understand what they're saying? Millions of others have, too. But getting a real understanding of the legal language of 200 years ago can be challenging - and as a result, few Americans know these important documents as well as they should. Recognizing this, Paul Skousen has written exactly the book you've been looking for. It's an easy step-by-step guide that makes these documents come alive.

Simplicity, Educational, Freedom

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

I was surprised how Mark handled the "Test Yourself" sections. I appreciated how I could listen and learn and still participate to test my knowledge/comprehension.

What about Mark Deakins’s performance did you like?

The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were performed masterfully.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Simply the Constitution

Any additional comments?

American's need to understand their constitutional rights or we will lose them. I have read many books on the Constitution but this was is for listeners of all ages and various levels of understanding. My kids now understand know how to read these documents have that lasted 200+ years and so do I. Many books on the Constitution try and give an angle or their own bias but this is just facts. Well done and the narration could not have been better.

Prophecy and Modern Times is a delightfully arranged collection of prophecies from both ancient and modern prophets. A foreword by President Ezra Taft Benson sets the stage. Learn how to interpret and understand prophecy. Learn its purpose in your own life. Next, read about prophecies concerning America and Palestine, and see how those ancient men foresaw events that we are living through right now.

What did you love best about Prophecy and Modern Times?

There are many books about prophecy and the end of times that are doom and gloom. Prophecy and Modern Times gave a clear picture of what will happen in the last days. The encouragement and optimism that I felt was very much needed.

What other book might you compare Prophecy and Modern Times to and why?

This book could be compared to The Cleansing of America by W. Cleon Skousen. Both are great books that give hope and encouragement as the Second Coming of Jesus Christ approaches.

Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed learning about prophecy and why it is important. My favorite section of the book was Prophecy Concerning the Millennium. I learned there are a lot of struggles but if we do not have trails we cannot realize our eternal potential. In the end the good people of the earth will win.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It certainly is a book that I want to listen to in one sitting. In fact I listened to the entire book on a three hour drive.

Any additional comments?

This audiobook is one that I will keep in my library and refer to often. It is good to freshen up on the events of the last days given by Prophets. It gives me encouragement.

Would you listen to True Stories from the Files of the FBI again? Why?

I really enjoyed this book. The detail of what happened and what formed the FBI was very interesting. I understand this book is pro FBI but with some portions used as a training manual I understand that. Each of the stories from Killer Kinnie Wagner to Baby Face Nelson had new information that I did not know.

What did you like best about this story?

What really struck me was the Charles Lindbergh kidnapping. That was a horrible story. I always questions if the case was ever solved but with the evidence provided it made it so I have a good understanding of what happened.

What about Corey M. Snow’s performance did you like?

Corey is a true professional narrator. His voice drew me in. He has the perfect voice for a non-fiction book like this.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

I loved all of the facts from each of the cases. I learned a lot about the background from some of the most interesting criminals in history. This is a great listen!

Any additional comments?

I would not hesitate to listen to this book again for give it to a friend. Well done!
