Humans have long sought to comprehend the enormities of cosmic space and time. Here, best selling science writer Timothy Ferris tells the story of that quest. He interweaves the majestic themes of astronomy, physics, religion, and philosophy with fresh and lasting portraits of the men and women who created what has been called our society's most precious treasure - its conception of the universe at large.

Pretty good book.

I liked this book. The author does a good job reading the book and the content is easy to follow. I was disappointed to find that most of the content of the book was repeated from his other works. I think the book is good but I think that Redshift would be a better value for your money.

I would not recommend anyone download this book. The narration is so poor that I had a hard time following the story and finally lost interest in the book altogeather. The reading seems okay but turns to horrible when the narrator contorts her voice for different characters. Do yourself a favor and skip this one unless you have lots of time to pay close attention to the reading.
