Another interesting listen. Nancy Wu is lovely to listen to as you follow the story. Her voice distinguished the characters easily even as the voices she uses aren’t very different. A talent for sure.
Maddie is going through personal issues and makes some mistakes that have you worry for her. The mystery is good and honestly, the best one. I like how it seems like real life and not Sherlock police mysteries.

Good mystery that was concluded. I’m anxious to start the next book and mystery. Love Robo, the dog! I have questions about some police procedures that a layman, like me, even question but I’m trying to just leave my mind open and enjoy the story.
Easy listening of narration. Nice voice.

Silver Tesdal has a head for business and a mouth made for kissing, and banker Drew Lovato has his eye on both. But ever since he was dumb enough to let her go, she’s kept him at a distance. When the bank turns her down for a loan, Drew sees an opportunity - he can finance her idea and win back her trust. Despite her reputation, Silver’s not as tough as she seems. Losing Drew nearly destroyed her. Still, his kisses are as tempting as his offer to invest in her business. If she can’t quite get over him, maybe she should get under him and knock him out of her system.

I look forward to the next one and sure hope it’s about a sexy writer looking for his true love.

I'm breaking up with setups. No more “you should meet my son, nephew, grandson, the butcher, the guy down the street who mows my lawn.” People mean well, but machines know better, so I'll rely on the great dating algorithms of the web to find my ideal man, thank you very much. Soon enough, it looks like I’ve found him - his screen name is Lucky Suit, and he’s hilarious, quick-witted, and full of heart. But when we finally get together in person, I have the distinct feeling I’ve met him before. Funny enough - he says the same thing about me.

Arndt is one of my all time fav narrators and of course, she was perfection on this one. Webber was pretty good but takes breaths in a weird way a few too many times. Otherwise, his voice is nice and and easy to listen to.

The story was okay. Chloe was whiny and I always want a strong male/snarky and smart female relationship. Grandmilly started off strong for me but she started to be rude to Chloe with her advice instead of guiding Chloe to a good life towards the end which was off kilter for her character.
The narrator spoke every syllable in every word. You definitely could understand everything she said. I like her Chloe and narrator voice, although not how breathy she makes them. All the other characters she did almost made me not listen. I swear, you could cut out a full hour of length from this book just having her actually speak normally. I couldn’t take it. I honestly started saying the sentences after the narrator said them to see how they would sound when normal, human beings speak. I honestly don’t want to be mean, but the editor of sound should have caught and redone much of the book.

If Darcy Barrett hadn’t met her dream man when she was eight years old, the rest of the male population wouldn’t be such a let-down. No one measures up to Tom Valeska, aka the best man on Earth, not in looks, brain, or heart. Even worse is the knowledge that her twin brother Jamie saw him first, and claimed him forever as his best friend. Tom’s off limits and loyal to her brother, 99 percent. One percent of Tom has had to be enough for Darcy, and her adoration has been sustained by his shy kindness. And if she’s honest, his tight t-shirts.

And I’m done! And painted my whole upstairs game room while listening! Whew!
I can say the last 5 chapters had me glad I invested my time after feeling so depressed in the beginning. I honestly didn’t like Darcy or her complete self loathing until several chapters in. I’m all for character development but Yeesh, chapters and chapters of just sadness. Also, and I mean no disrespect to the author, if you feel depressed like I did at the beginning, chapter 8 is where It starts to look up. Or I wish I had skimmed the first chapters and then whole-heartily started with chapter 8.
Her humor has me. I giggle so much and just fall in love with the zingers. Sweet story.

I’m definitely will read her next book! Her writing is witty and my kinda fun.

It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress. Something blue. I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old.” Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true. The name embossed on the blue stationery: Reed Eastwood, obviously the most romantic man who ever lived. I also discovered he’s the most gorgeous. If only my true-love fantasies had stopped there.
