An unlucky woman asks for a Bad Boy to help her win a reality TV show. As with all reality TV, there is lots of drama behind the scenes in this story and what Marissa doesn't realize is just how lucky she is that Liam took the place of the bad boy she hired. Liam has his own motives for intercepting Marissa's originally hired Bad Boy.

I enjoyed the dual narrators. As the story was told from the male and the female point of view, having two narrators was very helpful with the telling of the story. Another fun addition was the sound affects included in the story.
Enjoyable addition to the Bad Boy Series!

I loved everything about this book. The plot, characters, and the narration all came together and the end result is a fun mystery that has me excited for the next in the series.
Nani is one of just a handful of ukulele players on the island and when they start getting killed one by one it looks like she is the prime suspect. When it looks like the local police aren't doing much investigating, Nani takes matters into her own hands and starts looking into the murders.
I think the star in the book is Nani's mother. She reminds me much of Grandma Mazur in the Stephanie Plum series.

This is the second book about Megan and Jake. This book finds them about to open a bed and breakfast in a house that has belonged to Megan's family for many generations. Megan starts experiencing feedback about certain items and has the premonition that something is going to happen. And it does in ways she couldn't begin to imagine.
I had the feeling this story wasn't as developed as book number one as there were several areas of the plot that didn't seem to be as developed as I expected. I did enjoy the main mystery and seeing how that worked itself out. It was some of the offshoots of the plot that were missing. An example being when Megan walked in a room and discovered a ghost or spirit. She asked if it was a friend or enemy, received an answer and then walked out. If that was me, I would have asked the spirit a few more questions!
The narrator did a good job of characters and the narration, but it was just a tad too fast for my liking. I didn't play around with the speed of the audio, so that might have helped. I also think there was a moment of the narrator clearing her throat that should have been edited out of the recording (39:45).
All in all, I enjoyed the story and the narration and am looking forward to book 3.

This book was a great listen from start to finish. Kate came to Hays to teach at a one-room school house but finds herself involved in more than just teaching, including helping at the bakery, choosing the site for the school, and getting to know the townspeople and their children. As in all small towns, Kate heard rumors about different townspeople, especially Josh, the father of one of her pupils whose wife had recently disappeared. Kate sees the affect this has on little Anna and works to get to the bottom of the rumors. When she does, she learns secrets that she never expected to hear. Themes of friendship, caring and honesty are woven throughout.
I loved the plot and characters as well as the narration. Kandi Peppers delivers a flawless narration of the story, hitting the characters, emotions and pacing just right.

Many tried to rope him, tie him down, and drag him to the altar, but Grady wasn't the marrying kind. Until he showed back up in Cotton Creek this time to discover that he's not the only heart breaker in town, which leads to a whole new game and an entirely new question. Could Grady Judd finally have met his match?

I picked this book because it looked like a fun sexy read, it was and so much more that I listened to it all in one day.
Grady and Charli are both current or former operators for various government agencies. This makes it hard for them to open up and trust others. They are mentally ready for a one-night stand and no more...until they meet each other and they both realize there might be more.
But before anything more happens, Grady gets called away on business and Charli goes undercover for the Federal Marshalls.
I liked this book because of how much each character grows, changes and learns more about who they are on the inside.
The narrator did an amazing job with the voices, emotions and pacing.

We first met Zoe as an infant earlier in the series and I was excited to hear how her story would turn out. Now she is grown and ready to go out into the world, except the world she is spreading her wings in is full of prejudice towards people of color. Samson is her biological father who has kept in her life just a little through the years and offers to take her to college and show her the ropes of life outside of Abilene. It was a little strange having Samson be a good guy in this book after his portrayal as a bad guy in the first book, but I guess people can change in 18 years,
While at college Zoe has to determine if she is really in love withAlf, her brother/friend/maybe fiance from back home or if maybe God has a different plan for both of them.
I thought this was the best book by Barbara Goss yet. The plot, characters and their conversations all flowed well together. It is always enjoyable to listen to clean romance with biblical principles.
Leon Nixon did a great job of narration with the pacing, characters and voices. He was easy to listen to and to get into the story.

Lily needed a way out of the relationship her father forced her into, so used a train ticket intended for her friend Emma to go out west as a mail order bride. That was the start of many adventures including mistaken identity, kidnappings, working in a saloon and more. It also set the chain of events in place for Lily to experience forgiveness, unconditional love and ultimately the love of God. Good, clean and enjoyable romance.

Della became a mail order bride after her family suffered from financial ruin in New York. Moving out west and leaving her life of luxury was a big change for her. Della learns and grows into her role as wife as she gets to know her new husband but trusting him and deciding if she wants to spend the rest of her life with him is a big decision.
I really enjoyed the way the ladies came around Della and helped her adjust and how Della was able to help them as well.
