I got this book because I wanted a few pointers to clean up my pregnancy. I already eat pretty clean and am conscious of what is in my products but by no means am I "all-natural". I want to do an un-medicated birth and really got this book to help me prepare for it. I found it condescending honestly. It is obvious the author doesn't intend for this to happen, she even says that this book is for anyone, anywhere on the natural spectrum- from those looking for natural remedies for pregnancy aches and pains all the way to those having an at home water birth and everyone in between. I really think she means it too. But when it comes to it, she gets on her soap box about going totally natural at every turn. She comments on the expense and tells you that its worth it. In other words, if you don't spend three times the price on plant based vitamins over the already expensive regular prenatals, your baby is going to be born with birth defects because you couldn't cough up the bucks. This book is not given in an informative way, instead it is more suggestive. So if you don't have the ability to follow one of her tips, you are left feeling like you are failing your unborn child. Outside of that, I found it hard to follow. There are no chapters, so I couldn't easily go back to any tips I did bookmark. Would be better in print if you decide to get it. If you are already a very natural person or looking to really go totally natural in your lifestyle, this would be a good book. But if you are an average person who has incorporated a few natural things into your lifestyle but are not yet ready to take the costly plunge into all- natural, this book is not for you.

This was a good book, I'm glad that I listened however I do have some nit-picks about it. It could have been longer. there was at least another 5 or so chapters here. The book started strong as far as details and backstory but finished quickly. It was definitely hurried. It was also a bit expected. Nevertheless, the ending was satisfying. And the last remark, although hoped for, was fullfilling. Don't bump this book up your reading list but definitely keep it on your list.

Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can't move. She can't speak. She can't open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn't remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from 20 years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

This book is so twisted. Way more unexpected than some of the best psychological thrillers I've read, even Gone Girl. This book doesn't keep you guessing because it's twists just come out of nowhere! Right up to the last sentence. Fantastic read!

The second half is very interesting. You go back and forth with hating and sympathizing with the villain. They never lose sight of the victim throughout. The first couple episodes are a bit bland but it does get interesting.

It's no Devil Wears Prada or Everyone Worth Knowing but still a fun listen. Took me a chapter or two to get over the funky Brazilian accent- I wanted something sexier for the character and I got what I felt her mom would sound like - but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
