Everett and Courtney Carroll have fared better than most through the past seven years of the Great Tribulation, but the eve of Armageddon refuses to let them live out the last hours of this present age without conflict, trouble, and persistent peril.

I did really enjoy this series, and the previous series written by the author. He has other books written on financial collapse and various other dystopian apocalyptic topics that are all fantastic. Unfortunately, this particular one did not have the same appeal as the previous novels. That said it was a good finish to a great series. I look forward to this next book.

The fabric of American society has been torn asunder by an EMP attack on the United States. The enormity of what has happened is sinking in to the population. No area of the country has been spared. From the big cities to the rural countryside, all have been impacted. Loved ones are stranded far from home, their suffering families not knowing their fate. Food is in short supply, transportation has come to a halt, and a short trip across the county can become deadly. Law and order has fallen by the wayside. Desperation is setting in, and desperate people will do desperate things. The struggles and the fight to survive is real. The physical, mental, and emotional scars will last a lifetime.

This, the the third book in he series, did an amazing job of tying book one and book two together. I️ love the 1st person by chapter format and the choice to use multiple readers. For an audio format this sets the book apart from others in this genre. The writing is good the characters are great and he storyline is amazing. The practical information that can be gleaned from the book is added bonus.

Can’t wait for the next one!

The author does an amazing job with this book. He has combined the storylines that give you the background for all the characters, as well as keeping you on the edge of your seat with new and sometimes scary revelations. Revelations of not only how bad the zombies can get, but also how low good people can fall into depravity.

I can’t wIt to see how the story ends.
