Someone was after her and it was my duty to stop them. Never cross the line. That had always been my rule. But that was before Race True. The moment I saw her, I wanted her. But there was a problem. She wasn't just another pretty face - no, she was my first client at ALFA PI. My take-what-I-want attitude shouldn't include her, but how the hell can I be expected to keep my hands off?

I was enjoying the book until the female narrator spoke. Tried to give her a chance but instead of growing on me the opposite happened. Couldn’t finish & returned the book. Gave it three stars based on the first few chapters and the potential i thought the book had.

Let me first start by saying I couldn’t finish the book. h was annoying and spoiled. The author was constantly making excuses for her bad behavior. H was not immature for a 30 year old. Would not recommend.

I spent 20 years waiting for Trent Hennington to open his eyes and see me. But it was all for nothing. He chose to keep himself guarded and let me walk away, proving that my time and efforts were wasted. I'm done being invisible. It's time to move on. A single dance sets my new reality into motion, and I welcome it. After all, Cooper Townsend is perfect. He's kind, sexy, and attentive - everything a girl could want.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Being realistic. Spoiler. There is no way that a guy that likes you is okay with you sleeping with an ex. The h can tell the man she loves to leave her alone & she needs time to think but the new guy in the picture she can't say the same thing to??? The story is unbelievable .

What about Andi Arndt and Sebastian York ’s performance did you like?

Always great!!

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

There were parts that I did enjoy. The were times it pulled at the heart strings. There were times I would start to relate with the characters then something would happen and I was frustrated again.

Any additional comments?

If you don't like a story line where the h continually flip flops on her feelings, this is not the book for you. I personally don't like the love triangle.

For Logan Anderson, moving on from a traumatic past means moving back to his hometown of Castle Rock, Colorado, to start a personal-security business with his brothers. But it's not long before Logan runs into Grace Mason, his best friend from high school...and the woman who never answered his letters during his Army years. Grace was pleasantly surprised to see Logan return to Castle Rock, despite their falling-out ten years ago. Everyone always assumed they would end up together, including Grace.

I struggled to get through the book. The story was not too bad however there were several points in the book I thought were far fetched or did not make much sense. It almost seemed a bit thrown together. The narrator's voice was good but I couldn't tell if the way she read the book or the book itself was cheesy. The book wasn't horrible but I will not continue the series.

I don't want to touch it. I really, really don't. He's egotistical, crass, and my patient's owner - which makes him totally off limits. Yep, that's right. He owns the wiener dog I'm currently working on. I've also worked on his Spoodle, his Cocker-shitzu, and a Cheagle - don't ask. It doesn't help that he also represents most of my jointly-owned veterinary practice's small clientele. We'd only just opened the doors a few months ago, and in he strode with a yelping Taco Terrier. One haughty look at our sparkling new facilities, he'd demanded royal treatment.

First the setting is in Australia but read without the accent. Second I am animal person but this took it to an extreme. And third when they started using pet toys as sex toys I stopped for good and returned the book. This book was not for me.

It was only supposed to be a vacation romance. Passionate, exciting - and short-lived. But when Jewel Henley arrived for her first day of work at a new job, she realized her exotic lover was in fact Piers Anetakis, her boss. A boss who had a strict rule about not getting involved with his employees. And so, just like that, Jewel was fired. With no money and no job, Jewel doubted it could get any worse. Then she discovered she was pregnant and that she'd have to confront Piers.

In Atlanta, Georgia, the Cocker Brothers have certainly earned their nickname - The Cocky Brothers. Their daddy taught them to be real men. They have one thing in common: arrogance. Jake Cocker's younger brother Jeremy has just enlisted in the Marines, leaving him without a roommate. Jake wasn't aiming to live with a woman, but when a curvy, newly single, smart-ass who's at the end of her rope answers his ad, he changes his mind right quick, but mostly out of pity. Is Drew Charles different enough to tame a wild heart like Jake's?

This was a good book but not worth the credit. The previous reviews had such high ratings that I thought it might be worth the credit even though it was a short book. It was decent but I would recommend to wait for it to go on sale. It is a series and if all of them are short and cost the same amount it will cost close to $100 to listen to the series. It also took me a couple of chapters to adjust to the narration. It wasn't bad but I don't feel like the voice went well with the characters.

This book was a really nice surprise! I didn't go into with any expectations and was wonderfully surprised on how much I enjoyed it. I have listened to over 700 books and this is definitely one of my top ten favorites. I have never listened or read any other books by this author but definitely will in the future. If you like a book where you feel you get to know the characters and you get emotionally involved this is he perfect choice!
