Any additional comments?

Will Patton is the perfect narrator for such a story. Just his voice makes you like the main character from the start. It's a historical novel that covers many decades during the1800's. It gives you a look at life for the Indians, politicians, and settlers of our country as it changes and develops through many decades. You learn of the hardships, the good, and the ugly of those times. I enjoyed it.

I have loved all of Catherine Ryan's books. She's a fantastic author. But this one was a big disappointment because it was just too disturbing. Everyone is always angry and overstrung. Many people have liked this book, so maybe it's just me, but I didn't find it easy to listen too--it disturbed me--too much negative drama!

The whole presentation was good. The times of high tension were well written. The facts about Dr. Jones' birth and then growing up could probably be better written. Must have been the victim of an editor's red pencil. The character Ryan is presented as a rather untrustworthy person--almost as a psychopath, who in the end, snaps out of it, and now loves Dr. Jones. Really? ! This is not the real world! The best he might be is a borderline or a passive--aggressive. The only way any one of these diagnosis change for the better is thru the intervention of the Living God in the life of the person. And that nowhere to be found in this story. So I see Ryan and Dr. Jones' marriage headed for disaster--sooner than later. Ryan is making promises he can't keep.

I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Would you ever listen to anything by Tracie Petersen again?

I've read books by Tracie Petersen before and enjoyed them.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

This story may have been okay, but I couldn't get through it because I couldn't handle the pace & voice of the reader.

What was most disappointing about Elizabeth Lowell’s story?

This story was totally predicitable and just plain dumb. The narrator had a terrible impression of a females voice. It was painful to listen to!

What made the experience of listening to Completely Smitten the most enjoyable?

Susan Mallery's stories are always interesting, funny and have a good plot. I don't like real sappy stories or ones that have long sex scenes every other chapter. Susan's stories are touching and enjoyable!
