From his rapid-fire stand-up comedy riffs to his breakout role in Mork & Mindy and his Academy Award-winning performance in Good Will Hunting, Robin Williams was a singularly innovative and beloved entertainer. He often came across as a man possessed, holding forth on culture and politics while mixing in personal revelations - all with mercurial, tongue-twisting intensity as he inhabited and shed one character after another with lightning speed. But as Dave Itzkoff shows in this revelatory biography, Williams’ comic brilliance masked a deep well of conflicting emotions and self-doubt.

After he passed there was a time when details about how he died were not available. Then Bam! He took his own life, I was updated with him, who am I right?? I know, but I was, for a long time! I grew up with him, my point, I recommend this book, to everyone, the fans mostly as this is for us, he was hurting! How can we be mad about that, if anything he's in turn educated so many! RIP to sick a great actor, I thought he was here only for entertainment, forgetting... but learning he was a person, family person as well!

In this, the first book of its kind, Kate Kray, who married gangster Ronnie Kray, peers into the minds of the top 20 worst killers in criminal history and, sparing no detail, reveals the awful truth of their abominable acts. The extreme nature of their violence and their shocking lack of remorse makes for uncomfortable yet fascinating listening.

Once, I was nothing. Hungry, abandoned, wandering, and alone. An adolescent street rat fighting for crumbs. Then a chance encounter changed my entire world. A man in an expensive suit asked me how much my life was worth. I didn't have an answer because I didn't know. He asked if I thought it was worth killing for. Impulsively, I said yes.... He found me, then fostered me, and, in the interim, turned me into a killing machine.

I really didn't know what to expect going into this book as I hadn't heard of this story. I was really happy about that, as I went in with a clean slate. I really like how the store was put together, having it read to me made it even more enjoyable, but either way it would have been a quick read. Wild, with idle time, a huge infatuation and a stalker from afar... funny how the last people you would ever guess, the people that stands out the least, end up being the ones.
