the only reason for deducting a star for the story was her attitude towards the 'medicine' being a mum and knowing my daughter listened to the story concerned me when she flippant used sleeping tablets etc. outside of that I was drawn in the whole time and am looking forward to finding out what is going on .

Would you listen to The Wise Man's Fear (Part One) again? Why?

yes, it's the kind of story that you could pick more things up on the 2nd go around after completing the whole series.

What did you like best about this story?

The connection between the hero and heroin, and wondering how he winds up where he is without her.

What made the experience of listening to The Night Circus the most enjoyable?

It was so different to any other story I've read/heard. I could imagine the colours and how awesome it would be to make into a movie.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I didn't have a favourite, I was very intrigued as to how they each had importance in the story.

What about Jim Dale’s performance did you like?

Yep

Would you ever listen to anything by Orson Scott Card again?

No

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The narrator was ok, I think because I was frustrated by the book it didn't matter what he sounded like.

Was Ender's Game worth the listening time?

No. I found it confusing at times, and was waiting for a punch or something and when it happened it was a bit of a let down, it was disjointed and like a cluster of several ideas in one. Not sure why it has had so many rave reviews.

Where does I Am Number Four: Lorien Legacies, Book 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Middle, I'm interested enough to continue with the series and find out what happens.

What other book might you compare I Am Number Four: Lorien Legacies, Book 1 to and why?

Any of the teen novels like Twilight, where there is a teenager coming into powers, falling in love and saving the day.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The narrators interpretation of female voices had me giggling most times and I would loose concentration on the story because of it, I also thought that, when it came to the lovey dovey stuff he was struggling with not bursting out with laughter at how corny it was.

in the top 20%.

Would you be willing to try another book from Maggie Stiefvater? Why or why not?

I love Maggie's 'quirky' approach and is now my 2nd favourite author. Her observations and comparisons are interesting, surprising and so true. This series of books is like an introduction to an imaginative writing style, Raven Boys is even better.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I particularly like the characters Cole and Isabelle, for a Mother of 2 school aged kids, the teen-ness of the books gets a little much but those two characters allow me to relate better to them and somehow Cole's quips make me sadly smile. Lifes twists and turns do seem pretty brutal and the hope that Cole presents in being able to redeme ones self is a positive influence on the book.

Any additional comments?

Can't wait to hear more of Maggie's books. Her approach is refreshing and seems to present thoughts that sometimes you think you might have had if you could have focused on them, but are so elusive.
