Amber Patterson is fed up. She's tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more - a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted. To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne - a socialite and philanthropist - and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale. Amber's envy could eat her alive...if she didn't have a plan.

This book was so great. I hated arriving at my destination because it meant that I’d have to stop listening. Never before had I ever looked forward to getting in my car to travel just so I could press PLAY.

Kat and Doug felt like Aurora Village was the perfect community. Minutes from the city, affluent without pretension, low crime with a friendly vibe - it’s everything Kat never had, and that she’s determined to provide for her infant daughter. But everything changes overnight when Kat finds a scrawled note outside their front door. That wasn’t very neighborly of you. As increasingly sinister and frighteningly personal notes arrive, each one stabs deeper into the heart of Kat’s insecurities, paranoia, and most troubling, her past.

This was such a disappointment. I’ve never written an unfavorable review, but then I stumble upon this book. I wanted to finish the book since I bought it, but no amount of money is worth torturing myself. From the robotic, monotone narrator to the poorly developed plot, it was the worst book I’ve read. As an English teacher, I read many books... so that’s speaking volumes.

Six years have passed since Jake Fisher watched Natalie, the love of his life, marry another man. Six years of hiding a broken heart by throwing himself into his career as a college professor. Six years of keeping his promise to leave Natalie alone, and six years of tortured dreams of her life with her new husband, Todd.

But six years haven’t come close to extinguishing his feelings, and when Jake comes across Todd’s obituary, he can’t keep himself away from the funeral. There he gets the glimpse of Todd’s wife he’s hoping for...but she is not Natalie....

I enjoyed every minute of this book. It’s a real treat when you discover a book with a plot unlike one you’ve ever read. Some stories can be so predictable, and then “Six Years” comes along. I was guessing the whole time, but I never anticipated the plot twist of this book. I enjoyed listening to the voice of the reader as he articulated such that I clearly understood each word (which I can’t say for some other readers).
