This was a disappointment. It reminded me of a high school research paper that needed to reach a certain word count and so he kept repeating the same thing in different ways. Basically, that you need mental toughness to succeed, like many famous people who used mental toughness, and when times get tough- use mental toughness. Nothing about how to acquire mental toughness or even what is mental toughness.
The narrator was really hard to listen to. He sounded like the guy who does the monster truck rally commercials. "WHEN TIMES GET TOUGH, USE YOUR MENTAL TOUGHNESS-TOUGHNESS-TOUGHNESS!"
Honestly, I had to use all of my mental toughness to hold myself back from throwing my phone out of my truck window while listening to this.
It's even more aggrevating that this book got so many positive reviews, which makes me think he paid for them.
I thought about not writing this review for fear of hurting "Epic" Rios feelings, but then I thought that he coukd use his MENTAL TOUGHNESS! to overcome this bad review and rip someone else off in the future. He should be fine, but my audible credit is gone.

I was sold on this book by the preview, where cycling quotes were read. That was the best part of this book. It was so frustrating to listen to this that I couldn't make it through 3 chapters. Really disappointing.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Want to join the “superhumans”? Luckily you don’t have to run to catch up with them, thanks to McDougall’s and Sanders’ inspiring (and motivating) journey through history, science, physiology, health, entertaining characters and unlikely friendships. Full of incredible characters, amazing athletic achievements, cutting-edge science, and, most of all, pure inspiration, Born to Run is an epic adventure.

This was my first audio book and it spoiled me. Taken, I am a runner...the topic appeals to me. But, overall, this is just a great story for anyone who likes learning about different cultures and sub-cultures. The narration is great...not boring or annoying for one second. The story is engaging. Great for anyone interested in running, adventure, cultures, lifestyles etc. Very good.

Before he gained wide fame as a novelist, Ernest Hemingway established his literary reputation with his short stories. Set in the varied landscapes of Spain, Africa, and the Americam Midwest, this definitive audio collection traces the development and maturation of Hemingway's distinct and revolutionary storytelling style: from the plain bald language of the first story to his mastery of seamless prose that contained a spare, eloquent pathos, as well as a sense of expansive solitude.

Overall, this was definitely credit worthy. Hemingway's stories were very descriptive and thought provoking. Stacy keech's performance here was outstanding. Boring or annoying narration really irks me. But this was fantastic. I would recommended this to anyone who likes Hemingway or wants an introduction into his work. Very good.

This was a wasted credit and 8 hours that I managed to endure. The author is a scammer and BS artist. This book won't help you. The information really only applies to corporate upper management. The narrator is absolutely horrible. It is torture to listen to this garbage.
