Maggie Washington is used to relying on herself. Growing up in Iowa, her wild curls and parents who dumped her on her grandmother made it so she's never fit in. Skeptical of other people's motives, she's always been the fling or the friend. Looking to define her life after college, she's thrilled when she scores a choice summer job working in Yosemite National Park restoring habitat. Court Thompson is a gorgeous (and bearded) forest ranger with a love-em and leave-em reputation. When he shows interest in her, she's torn.

The charm of Dex is present as ever.

Even after all he went through, he is still the person we rely on to be strong, steady, loving.

But he is also changing.

Dexter is the heart of the series and he and Sloane are the perfect couple.

They have issues to deal with, but overall, in this stage of the relationship, they are rock solid.

I enjoyed seeing them grow both professionally and personally.

Dex became more focused and he proved this in the opening chapters of the book.

Dex adapts and survives. He has a lot to live for.

There are many great things about the books in the series: they deal with serious social issues but also mix action, comedy and romance in a perfectly balanced way.

The characters feel like old friends, like members of a family you are always looking forward to seeing again.

Mark Westfield as always, narrates each character to perfection. He brings Dex, Sloane and the world to life.

Dylan Culderway is more than hockey’s top defenseman. He’s the kind of guy who’s always there to help a friend. Plus, he’s a true gentleman. More importantly, certainly to the ladies, is that Dylan is hot enough to melt ice. Dylan’s no womanizer, though. He doesn’t have time for love. Seems he’s too busy running away from his past. Or is he running to his past?

Kogan is no stranger to pain. For the past five years, he has been in a downward spiral, his days dark and grey. He spends most of his waking hours stumbling through, hating every second, wishing he didn't even exist. Kye Sterling knows Hunter has a troubled past. He knows someone hurt the man, which is the very reason he doesn't mind getting close, wanting to ease Hunter's pain in the only way he knows how. Not that it's working. Nothing seems to be working.

Hunter Kogan is the type of "hero" I cant stand.

Yes, he had a connection with Danielle Davidson and she left him, but he kept his resentment without trying to understand why!!

Tortured by his past, he resorts to being an a@@. It doesn't charm me nor did his past redeem him.

But Tor Thom made him work. Somehow, at some points, I found myself understanding him.

I saw him as the complicated character he became (thanks for Thor's narration of him).

That is the magic of audio books. Many times, what I wouldn't tolerate in an e-book, is much more relateable in audio format, providing you get a narrator who "gets" the person he is suppose to portray.

Loved Thor's narration . Charley Ongel and he share great chemistry.

Charley Ongel also had the task of making Danielle a character whose reasons for leaving are acceptable. As with Hunter, I struggled with her. It wasnt easy for me to accept her abandoning Hunter and causing them both harm.

Enjoyable listening experience due to Tor Thom & Charley Ongel great chemistry and portrayal of difficult to like H/H.

Flawless narration by the amazing Tor Thom & Charley Ongel.

Tor and Charley have a natural chemistry that makes each book they narrate a please to listen to.

They make the characters the main focus of each story.

The plot isnt always relevant (which is sometimes a good thing). Where I might struggle to finish a book because of the lack of depth or believable story line, if its in audio book format narrated by Tor and Charley, I have no trouble adapting and listening on.

TJ and Harlow are complex characters. You will enjoy taking this journey with them.

Gabriel Carter is the biggest, cockiest asshole I've ever met. He's a six-foot-three ex-baseball player with sexy muscles and smoldering looks that turn my body into a traitorous mess. Did I mention he's also the reason business at my family's hotel is quickly going down the drain? I shouldn't want him, but try explaining that to my body. Especially after he proposes a business deal to me that will be mutually rewarding - both financially and sexually. Sleep with the enemy? Nah, I'll just marry the bastard instead.

He was the man of my dreams, or so I thought. I wasn't sure how I'd react when I saw him again. I planned on avoiding him, but our small hometown made that impossible. The years apart melted away when I saw him. Time hadn't changed my feelings, after all. Jealousy flared anew. My heart, which I thought had healed, was back to being in a million pieces. Now I'm right where I don't want to be - in front of him with tears in my eyes.

Tor Thom & Charley Ongel are dynamic narrators.

They bring emotion to every scene in the book.

While the story itself needed more depth, the narration made up for it by bringing each character and emotion to life.

Astoria and Parker's story came to life thanks to Tor and Charley. While on paper the story was predictable, they gave the story life, added color and a sense of anticipation.

Tor and Charley both know how to build characters and moods. Their performance was spot on. You would think they were living the story in real time.

Second chance romance lovers will enjoy the book.

Emotional journey made special by Tor and Charley.

Bakery owner Willow Dalton's friendship with Zane Walker has always been a bit complicated. Now a scrumptiously hot A-list actor, Zane's always had a reputation as a player. He's arrogant, and he's definitely not boyfriend material. Sure, he did Willow a favor by agreeing to take her virginity before college, but is that reason enough for her to go along with a fake engagement a decade later - even if it comes with a real diamond ring?

Institute of Magic is full non stop action, adventure and magic.

The world building is great as is any book written by Linsey Hall.

Laurel Schroeder once again delivers a great performance. She breathes life into the characters, makes us part of the story and takes us on a great adventure.

I love the main character. Ana was a fun character to "hang out" with, to watch struggle with harnessing and using her magic. Seeing her grow and and gain strength and confidence was satisfying.

I loved her interactions with Lachlan (wonderfully narrated by Laurel Schroeder).
