When a letter from his supposedly deceased mother finds its way into his hands, life changes in an instant for international pop star Bodhi Beckett. Reeling from the deception of those closest to him, Bodhi spirals out of control and is sent to a secluded mansion in the coastal mountains of Southern California for some rest and relaxation. But the retreat proves to be anything but relaxing when a raging wildfire sets the landscape around him ablaze. While escaping the flames, Bodhi rescues Breeze, a quirky, pet-loving woman, and together the two fight their way to safety.

Another excellent story. The characters interactions, dialogs and witty batter are so much fun. I will shamelessly be borrowing some great one liners. Once again she's written a very empathetic story, with quirks, inner dialogs, backstories and conflicts that make you feel like you're part of the family. The narration was perfect. I devoured this audiobook and cant wait for the next. I even had a blast laughing while reading the authors web sight. She interviews each of the Jakes sibling characters in her Cake series. Funny, clever and heart warming... amazing author & excellent books!

Narration is excellent, story is ok but doesn't end,, chiffhangers are fine if they're used to draw you into a New Story, not when you haven't completed the first story. when I purchase as audiobook I expect no matter how long it is or if it's a series that the author at least resolves the original conflict.

Fake engaged to the hottest quarterback in the country? Score. They say nothing compares to your first kiss, but our first kiss was orchestrated for an audience. Our second kiss...that one was real. He cradled my face like he was terrified he'd f--k it up. He stared into my eyes until the air buzzed. Soft and slow, full of sighs and little laughs, he inhaled me like I was the finest Belgian chocolate, and he'd never get another piece.

UGHhhhh! (sarcasm) Please end a book without finishing any of the storyline. I love getting to the end and nothing happened... no conflict resolution. who left the flower? whose stalking her? what's her news? Wwwwaiting for a big reveal and nothing.. .. Characters are all magically ok. I kept going back thinking I must have missed something. Is this a series? I listened to this book after reading all the glowing reviews. What a disappointment. So much focus on the narrators who were fine but the story went one direction then who knows? so frustrating! The Author confuses me. I've loved some of her books but others she'll introduce characters and conflicts that don't go anywhere, have any resolution or the resolution is so trite it leaves me feeling well sarcastic.

Jolie Louis is a smart girl. She knows that her best friend, Sage Poirier, is a bad idea. He's a walking, talking cliché. The Adonis quarterback with the bulging biceps and harem of fangirls trailing behind him on campus like a stench you can't get rid of. Sadly, that's also the reason she can't stay away from him. Well, that and the fact that they're roommates. Jolie is already straddling the line between friendship and more when Sage comes to her with an offer she cannot refuse.

Wow so refreshing! After yawning through several highly rated cliche rockstar novels, I was pleasantly surprised to find this series. Instead of overly explicit sex. drugs and silly woman, there is a fully developed and interesting story and backstory. Smart, witty characters, creative banter with fun sarcasm...close, relateable family relationships and it's a complete story. Plus excellent narration of the audiobook, perfect timing and inflection for the characters. Unfortunately several "rockstar" romance audiobooks tend to suffer with breathy, trying to sound sexy, expressionless narrators . Enjoyed both reading and listening to this book!
