As the captain of the Chicago Aces, Marc Dupuis is all business. The apartment he shares with his teammate and best friend, Duncan, is a refuge from the pressures of fame. But when the sexiest woman he's ever seen interrupts his early morning coffee wearing only a skimpy cami and matching panties, Marc can't exactly say that he minds. Their chemistry is off the charts. Unfortunately, this girl's no random puck bunny. She's Duncan's little sister, and she's moving in.

Every time the heroine's name "Lovey" was said by anyone I cringed. CRINGED. My brain would flashback to Thursten Howll III calling his wife "Lovey" on Gulligan's Island. So annoying. Then when I got passed that (which I never actually did), I will never understand why an author or publisher would used just a female narrator when the book has a female and male POV. Overall. I think that Kelly Jamieson is an excellent narrator.... as the female voice. Its really difficult to enter into suspension of disbelief when alpha NHL hockey gods sound exactly the same as "Lovey". I actually switched over to the book after about 25% of audio but I just couldn't handle it. However, it did not get better for me. I love sports romances, especially Hockey Sports Romances, but this one book of this one series was just not for me. I felt as thought I have read about the dating teammates's little sister forbidden romance scenario in other sports romance books where the characters had way more chemistry. There are a lot of positive reviews for this book, so this might just be my issue. I will probably give this series another try, however I will likely chose to read the next one.

With The Look of Love, best-selling author Bella Andre introduces you to a fun and emotional contemporary romance series about the Sullivan family. Because when a Sullivan bad boy falls... he falls hard. And it's forever. Chloe Peterson is having a bad night. A really bad night. The large bruise on her cheek can attest to that. And when her car skids off the side of a wet country road straight into a ditch, she's convinced even the gorgeous guy who rescues her must be too good to be true. Or is he?

I have enjoyed Bella Andre's books before, so picking this one up seemed like a no-brainer.

I enjoyed the story even though it was the standard romance cliche: (SPOILERS AHEAD)

Rich boy meets desperate girl running from abusive ex. Desperate girl falls for savior boy, but repeats OVER and OVER and OVER that she is not ready for a relationship. Of course the abusive ex reappears. Yadda yadda yadda RB and DG live happily ever after.

I felt that a BUNCH of chapters could have been deleted and there would have been the same story. What I will never understand how an author or producer will decide to have just one female narrator when the story is told in both the female and male protagonists points of view. My suspension of disbelief is not that great where I can identify an "alpha" male having a very feminine voice.

Lucky for me, I have the Romance Audible Package, which means I can continue listening to the series to find out what's up with the Sullivan siblings. Hopefully they will be more interesting. The 3rd book is about a fireman, so I'm definitely looking forward to that one.

Everyone else in Dixie Carmichael's life has made falling in love look easy, and now she is ready for her own chance at some of that happily ever after. Which means she's done pining for the moody, silent former soldier who works with her at the bar that's become her home away from home. Nope. No more chasing the hot as heck thundercloud of a man, and no more waiting for Mr. Right to find her; she's going hunting for him, even if she knows her heart is stuck on its stupid infatuation with Dash Churchill.

Church has been an enigmatic character for most of the Saints of Denver series. We finally get his story. It was a great story, in and of itself. However, the addition of Sean Bassett made it even better. WOW! Its my first book with him as the narrator. Let's just say that even if this story had been horrible, I would have listened to it multiple times just to listen to the velvet of this man's voice.

Most of the time these romance books have a heroine who is annoying as hell because we are meant to find the hero all swoony. In this case, I cheered for both of them. Dixie was the strong girl to pull the tragic hero out of the dark. I love the glimpses we got into the loves of some of the characters from the Marked Men series as well as the Saints of Denver series. I am already dying for the next book, which is Poppy's story.

Definitely worth the credit, especially if you are already a fan of this series.

I can honestly say this how a finale book should be written. I believe all of the major story arcs were concluded. William and Raven get their HEA, even though it might not be the HEA you expected... but that is not a bad thing. I love that Reynard snuck in little updated on Gabriel and Julia.

In my heart, the only detraction was the absence of John Michael Morgan. He has been the voice of Reynard's books since the beginning, and he brought a special snark and elegance that I simply became accustomed to expect. However, if I had never previously listened to JMM, then I would have said that Robertson Dean did a fantastic job. He really did differentiate his voice between male and female characters. I would definitely look out for other books narrated by Robertson Dean.

But he does like sex - the hotter and harder, the better. He likes it fast and filthy, which is why he refuses to even touch someone as sweet and guileless as Samantha Jamieson - until he discovers that she likes it just as down and dirty as he does. I enjoyed this book. The rich girl leaving it all behind to find true love with the guy from the "wrong side of town". While the plot is one we have seen before, the details make it still enjoyable. My biggest issue was with the narration. She does a lovely job with the female characters, but the male character voices do absolutely nothing for me. This bothers me less when a book is told solely from the point of view of the female protagonist. However, when there is an alternating POV, I do feel the book suffers when there is only a female narrator. Case in point, the voice for the unfeeling, pretentious father sounds exactly like the voice she uses for the hot tough guy with a heart of gold bartender.

The writing is great, and I am a huge fan of the author in general. So, I will be reading the rest of the series in lieu of listening to the rest of the series. I have to know what happens with the other brothers.

Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn't have the first clue about what she's going to do after college. To make matters worse, she's nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di-Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won't include the king of one-night stands.

I am a huge Elle Kennedy fan. I am an especially big fan of her Off Campus series. I have to say that I was hugely disappointed for the audio of the 1st 2 books of the series. Truthfully, had there been no change in narrator, I would not have purchased this, the 3rd book in the series. BUT, with the dual POV of the book, she also now has dual narrators. Bravo!! I was not very familiar with either one of these narrators, but they both did a great job.

As for the story, by now we are very familiar with Dean and Allie based on the first 2 books. However, this story really does a great job of delving into each character and building all the layers. The author develops the characters so well that there I times that I don't like them and there are times when I love them. They both go through a lot of self realization and self questioning, but not to the point that I am thinking, "Please get over yourself", which happens more often than I would like with other authors.

In the end you get the HEA, but its not the HEA you expect... which I think makes it better.

Jace Sinclair here, and I'm amazing. There is no other way to describe me. I am the leading scorer for the Bellevue Bullies, I'm the captain, and people love me: my family, my teammates, my coach, and the NHL. This is my last year in college - I already have one foot in the draft. Hockey keeps me warm even when it's freezing. It's always there when nothing else is. And it pushes me to be the best I can be. It's my one and only love. That is, until I see her against a tree with a guitar. Avery.

So, I wasn't going to let that one experience ruin my love of fictitious Nashville hockey. I am SO GLAD that I didn't give up! I REALLY enjoyed Hooked by Love. The characters were extremely well developed, and every chapter and twist/turn that that characters took added to their story as opposed to merely stretch it out. The narrators, again, did a fantastic job. Definitely worth the credit!!

This has been the toughest year of my life. I watched my brother go into the draft without me, my mom got divorced, and the weight of my family's issues is heavy on my shoulders. I feel like it's my job to fix everything while working my butt off in school and trying to make my game better. I have to go into the draft. It will give my family the support they need, and it will prove that I'm good enough. But to get there, I have to show I can be the best captain for the Bellevue Bullies.

I LOVED Book One (Boarded by Love), which is why I was so surprised by how many times this book annoyed me. I understand the prideful heroine, but the chip on Baylor's shoulder was so large that certain aspects of the story dragged and dragged for no reason other than to make the book longer. I find that sometimes authors work so hard to make a hero likeable that the heroine suffers.

The narrators did a great job with what they had. Joe Arden is a particular favorite of mine.

This is not going to stop me from going on to Book 3, though. I need to know what happens with the 3rd Sinclair brother.

Before you keep reading... there is no way I can explain my issues with the book without some mild spoilers. So, if you want to go into the book spoiler free, please stop reading. You have been warned...

I REALLY dislike stories that glorify cheating. I really don't think that true love can be born from deceit. This is just a personal preference. I thought the narrator did a great job with the female voices, however, every male voice made me cringe. The book does end in a mini-cliffhanger or HFN, so you do have to be ready to read book 1.

While I really liked the hero of the story, I didn't really find myself rooting for the heroine. Hopefully, she will make me take her side in Book 2.
