1. It starts off funny but..I...I can't with forcing people to do kissing booths for school fundraisers, so many things in this book are just so...dated...and cringe inducing. I can't finish this, she's crushing on and making excuses for a kid who grabs her ass without her permission.

2. Thank God I read the reviews before I wasted too much time on this, I'm not into hearing about the love lives of kids.

Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

I can't stand character inconsistencies and that is 100% what the female character is made of. You know like...in books or movies when a character is face to face with...let's say a ghost, or a werewolf, and yet they insist, INSIST, that there is no such thing, or finally begrudgingly believe in it but then wanna die on the hill about there not being vampires, even though there should at least be some doubt about that being that they now know werewolves exist? Yeah. That drives me bonkers, I can't help it. And the female character is a freaking researcher in regarded to magical species. She knows about it, she studies it, and yet if she is told ANYTHING like 1. don't go there, it's dangerous or 2. "magic is baked into a pie" she just doesn't believe it and it MAKES NO SENSE. Her supposed number one concern is learning about their customs and not offending anyone, yet she doesn't listen or ask for advice in-regards to that, at all. Oy.

Otherwise it's okay and funny. I will say that there should only be one narrator, the dude, because somehow, his female voice is sexier than the female narrator's, go figure.

Pass. I think there are plenty of people who will enjoy Tangled and the competitive back and forth between the male and female lead. But for me, the male lead was...just such an asshole, and the entire book is from his perspective so I could not escape his glib one-liners. It's a lot of "Women be like" sort of jokes, advice and quips and...maybe it's a generational thing but I just don't find office sexual harassment cute at all.

At 34, I'm reeling from a divorce. I don't want to party or try to move on. I just want to stay home and post a new recipe on my blog: Brynn's Dips and Balls. But my friends aren't having it. Get out there again, they say. It will be fun, they say. I'm still taking a hard pass. Free designer cocktails, they say. And that's a game-changer. Too bad my ex shows up with his new arm candy. That's when I lose my mind.

Romance novels are nearly the only genre of book I consume here so suffice it to say, this book is notably better than the rest. To be clear, the tone is light, so if you are looking for something broody and moody, there are other roads to travel. I usually avoid the light fluffy ones but this is hilarious and, get this, THE WOMEN ARE WRITTEN LIKE REAL, COOL WOMEN YOU'D WANNA HANG WITH < a deceptively simple thing to achieve, but believe me...it's not. I love it. The sex scenes are THE BOMB and happen throughout the book (not just saved until the end.) I love it and I don't toss out praise lightly.

Salome knows only one way to live - under Prophet David’s rule. In the commune she calls home, Salome knows nothing of life beyond her strict faith, nor of life beyond the Fence - the fence that cages her, keeps her trapped in an endless cycle of misery. A life she believes she is destined to always lead, until a horrific event sets her free. Fleeing the absolute safety of all she has ever known, Salome is thrust into the world outside, a frightening world full of uncertainty and sin; into the protective arms of a person she believed she would never see again.

The word "triggering" is overused, we all know it, but it's good to be forewarned that if you are at all squeamish about sexual assault, especially concerning that of children, then this whole series is going to be even more trying for you than for the average listener. I've completed all four available books and it's so good; the voice acting, the story. Sure, I had some problems with it (book four got a little frustrating) but not enough to write all that much about. It's passionate, it's intriguing, it's painful...real pain, not just melodramatic "book drama" that we're all used to in regards to this genre. If you can stomach it, you'll love it.

This single gal has had enough of the games, the BS, and the endless chase. I know what I want most, and it's not true love. It's a bun in the oven, and I'm not afraid to hit up my sex-on-a-stick coworker to do the job. Ryder is gorgeous, witty, and wild - and he's also a notorious commitmentphobe. That makes him the perfect candidate to make a deposit in the bank of me. I won't fall for him, he won't fall for me, and there's no way baby will make three. Right?

Being dragged through a mirror, naked and screaming, onto an extraterrestrial ship was bad. Finding out I had been sold to a huge alien male who looks like the devil was worse. But learning he wanted to trade me to an intergalactic petting zoo was the worst of all! Now I'm whizzing through the galaxy with a robot butler, a trio of nib-nibs (they're like tiny green monkeys), and one huge, muscular, and very grumpy alien.

Sebastian yes, but I'm just not a fan of Tracy. Not expressive enough.

Any additional comments?

Okay, some of us are VERY familiar with this particular genre, and I have to say, are you as sick as I am of the whole "I'm a super smart, independent female lead because I either said I was, it was heavily implied, or I have that type of occupation" but nothing within the book actively supports this? It's such a common thing. I mean, she's a doctor (aka supposedly smart) who can't even define "infatuation." A doctor who takes her stalkers definitions of love at face value. It's bizarre. I wish Sara and the taboo relationship between she and Peter were explored in a more dynamic and complex way. For example, the question of why she luxuriates in being treated like a child (literally in the book) is not answered. That would be good to know, you need complicated foundation like that or else it's just a dumb boring "doctor" falling for a stalker too easily...which is boring and disappointing.
