I got the first three books in the series all at one time from Audible. Brook one was pretty goodbye. Book 2 not as good and far less believable. And books 3 was dumb as shit, The politics that set up the story for books 3 was just plain stupid. Do yourself a favor and pick something else.

It starts as a whisper, barely audible. Rumors. Paranoia. Conspiracy theories. Subterfuge. Like lightning, the plague moves across the globe, leaving few alive. But the end is only the beginning. Primarily set in Memphis, four loosely-connected strangers, caught up in their lives, find their worlds annihilated by the swiftly-moving plague. Alex Connelly is a wealthy young executive. Kirk Foster is a self-absorbed aging gay man. Meredith Brinkley's ongoing war with breast cancer takes a turn for the worse. Logan King is a closeted baseball jock.

The author seemed obsessed with sexuality. It did make some of the characters a little different, but I’m not sure it added to the story. And I wouldn’t recommend that you not read the book, because I did finish it, and I think it was OK.

Appreciate that it’s difficult to find a good wholesome Christian literature, and in that way, I guess this was a success.o sex, No overly graphic descriptions of violence, and not a single F bomb.
I could have cared less whether any of the characters made it to the end . The plot was so dumb. The dialogue was so contrived and unnatural. But at least I they didn’t say fuck.
