For months, Mitch Rapp has been steadily working his way through a list of men, bullet by bullet. With each kill, the tangled network of monsters responsible for the slaughter of 270 civilians becomes increasingly clear. He is given his next target: a plump Libyan diplomat who is prone to drink and is currently in Paris without a single bodyguard. Rapp finds him completely unprotected and asleep in his bed. With confidence in his well-honed skills and conviction of the man’s guilt, he easily sends a bullet into the man’s skull. But in the split second it takes the bullet to leave the silenced pistol, everything changes.

No one wanted another war. Thomas Theisman didn't. Not after risking his life to overthrow the Committee of Public Safety's reign of terror and restore the Republic of Haven's ancient Constitution. Baron High Ridge didn't. The Prime Minister of Manticore was perfectly happy with the war he had. No one was shooting anyone else at the moment, and his government could continue to milk all those "hostilities only" tax measures for their own partisan projects.

This particular book was very tough to get through. I am a huge fan and I have all of the books through 11, but this one was tough to listen to. Very little action and what action there was was very abbreviated. Hoping number 11 makes a comeback

What did you love best about Time of Death?

I loved the first person female point of view, hearing her talk and her descriptions were so different from that of a male point of view, which we have plenty of. It was refreshing to hear it from "the other side" of the human race! Integrating modern and current slang, technology and even using known entities such as Home Depot brought it to life for me. I have been in Home Depot numerous times and I could just picture it as it was happening. The heartache, the issue of trusting humans in survival situations! All if it kept me listening the first night i turned it on until 4am (way past my bedtime)

Who was your favorite character and why?

Emma, who else? The Heroine of the story, she makes everything "believable" (I know, it is a zombie apocalypse book). The detail with which we read through her eyes just makes the book enjoyable!

What does Sarah Tancer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

My first audible book with a female narrator and I will say this, she sounded like I thought "Emma" would sound, she even did good with the male voices!

If you could rename Time of Death, what would you call it?
