Kathy Otten's writing and use of unique words to describe actions , drew me into this tale.
Though set in another time, women will find themselves identifying with the perseverance, insight, love, and sense of adventure that is timeless. Having the self determination to keep putting one foot in front of the other; walking into each new chapter and situation of life, truly can bring you SOMEONE TO SHARE THE SUNSETS with!
This short story is read in a pleasing and talented voice, that conveys the "voice" of each character in a memorable and engaging way.

Easy to listen to & enjoy.
ANYONE could listen to this book and CONSIDER what is being said, without the usual divisive reactions that abound in society today.
The author's voice is easy on the ears.

I love an audible book read by the person who wrote it.
( when that person is Shonda Rhimes, or Mel Robbins)
This is Shonda Rhimes story, and she tells it like you are
her best friend sitting at the kitchen table together or even
on a road trip in her car. In fact this would be a perfect book to listen to
while you are on road trip or even just starting or ending a long day.
I am not into celebrities, but I AM into hearing from people who have accomplished much in life,
and still have a sense of humor!
So many brilliant moments and observations,
especially the hilarious chapter about peoples over the top responses
to someone wanting to marry her.
So whether you are a woman or a man. . .
say YES to this woman's story and learn some things along the way.
So Audibly Enjoyable!!!

I had heard this was a must listen to book;
and so very glad I did!
Judy Sharer's words transported me back in time to
a point in our country's history that was full of challenges,
but when simple pleasures were received and relished with genuine gratitude.
The history of that time was obviously well-researched,
but the story flowed naturally without feeling heavy-handed.
To find myself, smiling and even laughing at some points,
while in tears, in other places, showed the gift the Author has
for creating memorable characters that I genuinely began to care about.
The circumstances and period may be historic, but Judy Sharer's writing
drew me in to the TIMELESS choices, situations, and feelings we have in humanity today!
(I chose to speed up the pace on this audible book slightly
as it animated the readers voice to match the Author's excellent characters. )
(I do enjoy that feature on Audible. )

Learning on the go! Easy to take action on!
