many good story, but the narrators butchers it.
the female lead is supposed to be a capable and strong woman, though you would not believe it listening to the narrators performance. I do not know if she didn't reply read the role, if she just really dislikes when women fights for equal rights or what is up, but she whines the whole book through.
the male narrator is a bit better, though not by much. the narration is a bit difficult to follow, as he does not seem to either have different voices for the leading couple or is ignorant about when who says what.

oh well. I might finish it. the story is alright.

if you are not into overdramatic and whiny female narrators, you might want to scip this audible and buy the book instead.
the story is rather great, but the leading female in the book sounds through this narrator both weak and whining at almost all times during the narration. I slowed down to 80% speed just to get the sound down to a marginally more acceptable pich.

The narrator did a good job, and the story really had potential.
whither that said the potential dropped in the last bit with the rather naive and childish speach the alpha made. Never have it ever been done that haters and bigoted people have been suddenly open-minded by being told of in such a way. If these views have been allowed to stand for generations, then only time and effort can change this, not force.

loved it! this was my first Molly Harper book, and I loved it. It was very well-written and humorous, and I immediately bought the first couple of the nice girls series as well. there is a lot of good stories out there, but not all well written, and a lot of the really good books are not as easy a read/listen as this one. I need happy endings, and books without clifhangers, and I want a auther to show me not tell me. Molly Harper does that very well indeed.

Some of the plot and storyline has potential. The hero is well thought out and has logic reactions to what he meets in this book. - The heroin though? She makes drama, swells in self-pity, makes mistake after mistake and base actions and inactions on contradictions. It seems like we should feel with her, but all I can feel is annoyance of how inconstant and self-pitying she is. I do not know if this is why the narrator portraits her with a babyish voice, but the narrating definitely highlights the heroines weaknesses. It was quite a struggle to get through this book.
