First off why is a 4-5yr old thoroughbred jumping 4ft jumps? Some of the horse stuff is a little off. The story is a little dark but in a not really plausible kinda silly way.
BUT it was entertaining. I just think the author needs to do some more research on actual horses and riding

Adrienne doesn't believe in ghosts, but it's hard to ignore the unease that grows as she explores her new home.

Everyone in the quiet Jersey Shore town of Silver Bay knows the story: on a Sunday evening in September 1991, Ramsey Miller threw a blowout block party, then murdered his beautiful wife and three-year-old daughter. But everyone is wrong. The daughter got away. Now she is nearly eighteen and tired of living in secrecy. Under the name Melanie Denison, she has spent the last fifteen years in small-town West Virginia as part of the Witness Protection Program. She has never been allowed to travel, go to a school dance, or even have internet at home. Precautions must be taken at every turn, because Ramsey Miller was never caught and might still be looking for his daughter.

Story: the story is good I was entertained for sure. But the main character is not very likable. There's so much and too much going on in the story. And the character is SO irrational it's ridiculous.
Performance: that was okay but they added music at random places and that was super distracting.

No one knows exactly when it began or where it originated. A terrifying new plague is spreading like wildfire across the country, striking cities one by one: Boston, Detroit, Seattle. The doctors call it Draco Incendia Trychophyton. To everyone else it's Dragonscale, a highly contagious, deadly spore that marks its hosts with beautiful black and gold marks across their bodies - before causing them to burst into flames. Millions are infected; blazes erupt everywhere. There is no antidote. No one is safe.

The basics behind it are good! The story itself is good... BUT like so many other Christian books and movies they stereotype people. Some of the language and conversations between characters are hokey and everything is always wrapped in a nice package at the end.

I listened to this book as part of a bible study on prayer and for the most part Ms. Clara's narrative is the best for that.

I just wish Christian artists could write a book and incorporate God as well as mainstream authors. :-/

Vic doesn't tell anyone about her unusual ability, because she knows no one will believe her. She has trouble understanding it herself.
