They cast spells, they do magic, but not the way we usually expect. It's a good story full of sexual tension, cliff hangers, humor, and good old fashioned explosions.

I'm young to have so many enemies. The Skinners, Dark Walkers, Wood Mist, they all want me for their own reasons. But those were enemies I could fight. Now the disease that changed me forever is back. It's reaping death and havoc everywhere it strikes and I'm nearly helpless to stop it except for one chance. There's a rumor of a cure. But Dax, my ally here in the Wilds, has vengeance on his mind.

Living in the Wilds isn't any picnic, but I thought I had a handle on things; avoid the beasts and I won't get eaten, avoid the waterways and the pirates won't kill me, and stab every Dark Walker I see. That was before I found out Tiffy's friends were real and back when I'd never heard of the Skinners. Now my magic is on the fritz, and people are disappearing. Dax won't let me kill any Dark Walkers, and avoiding the beasts is impossible when I live with one.

The story starts off slow, but it picks up so stay with it. I liked the strong female character (Dahl) and that Dax didn't take her to bed before the end of the chapter (to find if when that happens you will have to read the story)

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator. I really liked the series but the narrator is not my favorite.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Fate and Karma ... you knew by this book how they would end up, just didnt know how they would get there.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

not at all

Do you think Fated needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Nope, this series was wrapped up nicely.

My name is Venus. I'm a 200-year old killing machine and I'm trading in my daggers and sword for a sparkly dress and an obscene swimsuit. Tiny strips of Lycra are not my typical battle wear, but when in Oklahoma... Armed with a fairly decent attitude, two debatably heterosexual insane old ladies, a woman I'd wanted to kill less than eight hours ago, and the possible love of my undead life, I'm in over my head with this. Of course I have no clue what this is going to entail, but that's never stopped me before.

What made the experience of listening to Fashionably Fanged the most enjoyable?

I loved the entire series and getting to know more about the "secondary" is awesome, however I think reading the book would have been better. The narrator kind of ruined it for me.

What other book might you compare Fashionably Fanged to and why?

I cant think of any

How could the performance have been better?

A different narrator. I really was not fond of this one.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Not sure this would translate into a movie

Karma. It's what they call me and the very essence of who I am. When I died young, I was recruited by the agency that keeps the universe running smoothly. As someone with a human past, most of my coworkers consider me inferior. But not everyone. Something evil has been stalking me for centuries. It's been biding its time, waiting for the moment when it will strike, and it needs me to do it. Its methods of recruitment are tearing apart every aspect of my life.

Would you listen to Jinxed again? Why?

I liked the story, I really did but the narrator is not my favorite. I would probably listen to it again because I did like the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Jinxes ... they crack me the hell up.

What aspect of Angel Clark’s performance would you have changed?

ALL OF IT

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

The book was pretty long, so one sitting is a bit much. However, I was eager to get back to the story each time.
